any way, i think it's quite noble and courageous for this lady to see the pregnancy through after suffering sexual assault. that type of strength and depth is impressive. consider there are some 115000 abortions / daily (abortionno.org).

Uh, pretty sure that abortions were pretty hard to come by in 1928, which is when she was raped, and had her daughter. Black Market ones did exist, because they were kinda illegal back then. She was also 16, so even if she had the option of a Black Market abortion, I doubt one would have been performed. Also, you could have been stricken with a pretty bad case of death if the doctor botched it.
