Absolutely not! There is no fault here but his own. The VA is there for him to get help. They don't go and search you out. You have to have the intestinal fortitude to seek help for yourself, or have the luck of good friends or family to take you.

He shot 4 people and then gunned down this ranger in cold blood. I have ZERO sympathy for him. Nothing excuses his actions.

If he did suffer from PTSD, only thing I've seen is the girlfriend claiming he did, nothing about a clinical diagnosis, then he should have sought help. If you seek it, help is there. They even extend the timeframe of eligibility for VA care for recently discharged, or even people still in the National Guard.

He chose a dark path and he suffered the consequences. I shed no tears for someone who chose to harm people. None.
