Mythbusters is a news source now?

And what they didn't test - Does a new toothbrush contain fecal bacteria? My guess is that you probably don't want to know the answer.

Close the lid before you flush?

Isnt there a presence in the air of fecal matter no matter what? I mean, wouldn't this mean breathing could cause the shiats too?

You should probably keep your toothbrush in the kitchen, near the chicken cutting board.

They should have added some stink lines to the picture of the toilet for dramatic impact and maybe a few of those flies too.

Actually I keep it in a closed cupboard in a enclosed toothbrush case.

Really, I don't understand why anyone would want to keep their toothbrush in a cup on the bathroom countertop .

She seems inordinately proud of having laid a double-flush floater.

If it's yellow, let it mellow

If it's brown flush it down.

Reminder: Don't drink out of the toilet.

Seems to me that closing the lid before flushing only blasts the bacteria all over the lid, then the back of the next person sitting down.

Uh... convenience and not being paranoid of minor contamination? We're all exposed to thousands of off-gassed long-string organics all day long that cause all manner of cellular damage. a little poop on your toothbrush should be the least of your environmental worries.
