She must have said this on April 1st.

2012-01-02 10:32:37 AM
Actually they don't. They have some liberal opinion shows on in the evening. But they also have 3 hours of conservative opinion in the mornings. The middle of the day is straight up news. They are nothing like Fox News. They don't hold rallies and fundraisers for candidates. Comparing them to Fox is like comparing a flashlight to the sun.

Ah, NewsBusters. Herpy derpy doodly doo! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

2012-01-02 10:53:26 AM
They really aren't. They only seem that way to the poor twits who can only think in binary terms. It's amazing the hard-on Fox and conservatives have toward MSNBC's and other networks' objectivity. They've spent years trying to define MSNBC as a polar opposite to them when reality shows otherwise.

Fox really has ruined America by selling their objectivity and honesty to the sponsors' best interests.

2012-01-02 10:59:33 AM
GE and the entire NBC family have been in bed with lib politicians and pushing the lib agenda for a long time. MSNBC is just the least interested in hiding that fact.

2012-01-02 11:00:12 AM
I thought MSNBC doesn't matter because all the bubblehead blonde clones over at Fox have eleventy times the ratings of MSNBCs highest rated show.

Are they a threat or not? Gotta make up your minds, fellas.

Actually--you're full of crap--Here's today's lineup:

12:00pm--liberal Alex Wagner
1:00pm-liberal Andrea Mitchell
3:00pm-liberal Martin Bashir
4:00pm liberal Dylan Ratigan
5:00pm liberal Chris Matthews
6:00pm liberal Al Sharpton
7:00pm liberal Chris Matthews (repeat)
8:00pm liberal Ed Schultz
9:00pm liberal Rachel Maddow
10:00pm liberal Lawrence O'Donnell.

"Some" liberal talk shows in the evening? Where's the non-liberal talk show that keeps you from calling it "entirely liberal?" And where's all that middle of the day "straight up news programming?" The all-popular 2-3pm slot? And as far as political fundraisers--I do recall Rupert Murdoch supporting a candidate in the 2008 election with a fundraiser--notorious Republican Hillary Clinton.

Regardless of what side of the spectrum they might fall on--it takes no time at all for any honest viewer of MSNBC to see that it tries to do exactly for the left what the left constantly bemoans Fox for doing for the right (except, of course, for that pesky fact that no one wants to watch MSNBC).

2012-01-02 11:05:48 AM
They are just trying to make money by appealing to their target audience.

No, not liberals. Advertisers.

There's actually a law that for every conservative there is an equal and opposite liberal.

They are completely incapable of influencing the debate because nobody watches them, but they are still a deadly threat that indoctrinates viewers by the millions.

She's got to say that because the more-accurate "(Obama's approval rating)% Of The News That's Fit To Broadcast" is a shiatty slogan.

7:00pm liberal Chris Matthews (repeat)
8:00pm liberal Ed Schultz
9:00pm liberal Rachel Maddow
10:00pm liberal Lawrence O'Donnell.

FTFY. Al Sharpton's agenda is the enrichment of Al Sharpton; any intersection with left-wing politics is strictly coincidental.

Also, 'liberal' isn't the insult you think it is.

yeah like that time they fired Phil Donahue for speaking out against the war on terror.
The highest rated show on the network at the time and they can him for being too outspoken as a liberal peacenik

you're crazy. Andrea "Mrs Alan Greenspan" Mitchell is not a liberal. She's a conservative capitalist just like Dylan Ratigan. Just because they don't subscribe to the crazy extremist right wing bullshiat Fox and their ilk produce doesn't make them liberals.
Even Matthews has a lot of conservative viewpoints. He's a pretty devout Irish Catholic.

Flatulent_Flea: Now with more reality.

I'm not aware of these Republicans having shows on MSNBC, which is the point of the discussion here.

Besides, any Republican who really wants to enrich themselves does not go around Palin-style AWing themselves for a comparative pittance. Mwahahahahaha and so forth.

Facts have a liberal bias.

2012-01-02 01:49:54 PM
I love how concerned conservatives are with a channel they say no one watches. If no one watches it, why do they care who is on it and what it says? Why do they suddenly care about a liberal bias of a channel no one watches?

You make something more popular by calling it hated and saying only a few people watch it.

Seriously conservatives, have you learned nothing?

Where is Fox's three hours of liberal opinion? When did MSNBC last organize a political rally? How much money did MSNBC donate to the DNC last year?

Not the same. Not even close.

Why bother? Should MSNBC be held to a higher standard than Fox News, with the motto "Fair and Balanced"?

Maddow's totally wrong, compare msnbc with fixed news, for example, and see that Steve Duucy is twice the liberal that Joe Scarborogh is. Same deal for Shep Smith/Dylan Ratigan. Some may call him pants on head retarded, I just call him libertarian and save syllables.

You must think Che Guevara was a Goldwater Republican.

He worked for Democrats in the 60s and hisl colors never changed.
