Man, it's like, one second it's one year... and the next second it's the next year.

/aren't twins always born the exact same second?

Ronan and Rory.

What terrible names for twins.

Sarah Palin's Conscience: Ronan and Rory.

What terrible names for twins.

That's not what the real Sarah Palin's Conscience would say.

Meh. Call me when you have twins from different parents born 500 years apart.

I wonder if they'll be separated by one grade in school...

That's what I was thinking. In New York I think you have to be 5 before Jan 1st to start kindergarten. This would put them a year apart.

Hold the older kid back a year.

Problem solved.

I do not

give

a fark

and I never will.

This is not news. This will never be news. The only people who give a shiat are the dullest, most boring people on Earth. This happens all the time and these people are not special. fark them.

Holy Crap: This happens all the time

I wouldn't say it happens "all the time".

You know, someone could write a whole book about how much of the media is filler and not-news.

Figured this would be about Pamela Anderson moving to NY

They would around here.... and start playing football a year apart. The oldest would be the best on the team, and the youngest would never see any playing time. Life's a biatch.

That's crazy... their names, the double breech, the total lie about painkillers (bet the farm she had at least gas and breech births are HARD), the weight of them considering they were premature twins... but most of all the headline stating they were born a year apart. It's 33 mins apart across a date, not a year.

2012-01-02 06:23:43 AM
They were born 33 minutes apart, which just happened to fall in two different years. Other than the older one lording it over the younger every New Year's Eve, I doubt they'll have much trouble. The parents get a deduction for only one for their 2011 taxes. They should be thankful they're not thoroughbred race horses.

Gone are the days, in Buffalo, when the first baby of the new year was born seconds after the year began.

I'm a twin, so getting a kick outta this.

if they were Duggers they would have been born rapid-fire style, like kids sliding down a chute

FTFA:
"They have completely different birthdates and years," Rosputni said. "I don't know if it's ever happened. I'll have to do some research. I'll have to Google it."

I'm sorry, but typing random shiat in the googler does not constitute research.

I knew twins in college. One was born Dec. 31, 1969. The other Jan. 1, 1970. I thought that was kind of neat. But, apparently this happens all the time, according to Holy Crap.

2012-01-02 08:04:30 AM
Then the city demolished them both?!?!

It pains me to admit just how smug I feel about the fact that I'm one minute older than my twin brother. If I had a whole different birthday, an earlier day in an earlier year, I would lord it over him all the damn time!

Minnesota just had a set that were born about 6 HOURS apart, on Dec 31 and Jan 1. Don't remember the kids' names, but I liked it better than Ronan & Rory.

There's also a dispute between 2 other families over which baby was the first born in MN for 2012, as they were both born the same minute -- 12:07am -- at different hospitals.

I submitted that story with a better headline.

So Rory has a twin? That explains at least one of his deaths.

This will make their next tax return interesting.

I have a friend who has what I call "twins", born nine months apart. She had her first child, then went back to the doctor for her postnatal checkup and was already pregnant again! Apparently those razor-sharp episiotomy stitches did little to discourage her husband! ;-)

Unfortunately for them, they're still in Buffalo.

/I have relatives there.

Holy ef. They have 4 other kids who are 6, 5, 4 and 2. That seems like a crazy house.

9 months? Unlikely. 10 would make more sense but be highly unusual. Most Irish twins are 11 or nearly 12 months apart. I know a ton of people who have Irish twins and my dad is an Irish triplet (3rd child born before the first turned 2 and the second turned 1).

I have nightmares about stuff like that.
