I don't think we'll be reading much from that author in the future. I also doubt we'll ever read about why he suddenly stopped writing.
Ahhh, Niger. So many possible con jobs, so little time.

I think the world might be a better place if this sort of punishment concept was much more widely applied

The one good thing I got from this article: beginning to refer to the criminally incompetent Feds as the "FG".

What a strange article.
Also, Monkey de work, baboon de chop.

My understanding:
"A thief is a thief, even if it is one of our own. There was once a son who caught his mother cheating. His mother would be punished harshley if he told, as per Bini tradition with a sacrifice (known as "ekpetin vbe odegbe"). In the olden days she would have been tarred and feathered.
If he does not tell, he could face a much worse fate himself.
Budgets get tight at the end of the year, and people do things they may not normally do out of desparation.
The Federal Government is taking credit for Local Government's infrastructure spending, by putting up signs claiming they did the work. This is lazy, wrong and deserves punishment.
Like the old saying, you reap what you sow, the Federal Government is neglecting its own people. We have to fix this, the status quo of many suffer while some benifit must end.
Two unpalatable options remain; to tell father or not. Enough is enough! The government has to work for the people."
(Monkey de work, baboon de chop = Money works, baboon benifits)

I didn't get why he said that, and then said "Federal Government" every other time. What was the point of using FG that one time?
