Where's the buzz about a team with a Pop Warner defense? The Patriots are a great team, but they aren't deserving of more buzz than a few other teams with near equivalent or better records.

Yeah, this sums it up.

I like the Patriots. I root for them when they play. I laugh at the haters when they lose. But every time I watched them this year, I just felt like they were uninspiring. No matter the score, it just felt like their opponents lost more than they won.

I know this is just the Colt McCoy meme, but I really do feel sad people seem to be throwing him under the bus, considering he faced the top 6 Ds in the league(3 of them twice) and the #9 D, with wideouts like Greg Little and MoMass, and an RB core both injured and at it's best playing Peyton Hillis.

Look at his numbers. Look at his team. Now look at the fact he faced the top 6 or better D in 9 games this year and the #9 D once.

It's really quite impressive.

I ain't even mad tho, I just like carrying sports grudges to absolute extremes. (Even though the rivalry hasn't been relevant for about a decade, I still despise the Blackhawks and Red Wings.)

Realistically, we St. Louisans got a huge pile of schadenfreudic dessert in the form of "2011 BoSox: Best Team Ever?"- no, they didn't make the playoffs and the Cards won the WS.

Really? I would say that they are both leaps and bounds better. Sure the Ravens and Steelers have very stout defenses, but the Ravens aren't great against the pass. And sadly if either team decides to go full run, the efficiency they need to show on offense seems out of reach.

It's not the fans who are buzzless, guy. If there's a lack of "buzz" (there isn't), it's in the minds of the buzz-creators (you folks in the media). Created 'drama' sells ads, I suppose.

Oh, and by the way - yes, New England has the #32 defense in the NFL, ranked just after #31, Green Bay, and #26, New Orleans. While the Patriots' defense is a cause of concern for me (oh, the gray hair), it's not like they're alone in having a strong offense to counter the weak defense. I'd be *much* more concerned if they were last in giving up points, where they rank a middling #14.

Yup. It was just magic. Somehow, some way, no matter who they played, the other team just kept handing the game to the Patriots. It was so uncanny. Like that time that they blew a 21 point lead to the Bills only to come back from a 21 point deficit in the very next time they played each other.

Sort of like that time they lost 31-0 to the Bills in the first game of the season only to win 31-0 (the exact same score) on the last game (the exact opposite game) of the season.
