Yeah right, Newt. She's not going to be Gingrich #4.

2011-12-30 06:41:52 PM
You know, If he worked this hard on actually getting the nomination instead of trying to get out of the nomination, he might just be President.

2011-12-30 06:43:07 PM
If Gingrich got the nomination, and if he tapped Palin for veep, it would be the funniest event in US politics since Budd Dwyer's final press conference. And about as likely to result in a positive outcome.

That wasn't funny...that wasn't funny at all

Well, of course. He couldn't say "Hell no, not in a million years." That would alienate the rubes that still love Palin. Newt isn't that dumb.

I was just thinking that Gingrich seems like a possibility for a VP nod. Then I was thinking how delicious the VP debate would be. I don't think he or Biden can control themselves when speaking in front of a camera. It has the potential for hilarity.

I agree. Tapping Ms. Palin should be a PPV event.

2011-12-30 07:30:16 PM
Gee, I'll bet his lovely wife Birdface McStepford would just LOVE to have the two of them spending lots and lots of time together on the campaign bus.

Nothing to worry about, there. He DID sign that "Fidelity Pledge" after all, right? I'll bet he totally means it this time, too.

2011-12-30 07:32:58 PM
Ms "Fungible Molecules" for Energy Secretary? Now he's just trolling us, right?

Yup...He just wants to drill baby drill!

Now? Hasn't his whole "campaign" been a series of attempts to convince people not to vote for him?

An explosion of stupid heard around the world will ensue.

MaxxLarge: Birdface McStepford

This is funny.

Sure, run her as VP. As they say, third time is the charm.

Yeah, I'm thinking this. Even if hie thinking there's not a chance in hell, ee couldn't dismiss her as a possibility during the primaries as he needs to play to the lowest common denominator for the base votes.

2011-12-30 09:36:57 PM
She'll be on the list. Between David Letterman and the rent is too damn high guy.

It's not infidelity if she's married too, right?

usually, the reply to a "could they be your VP" question is either

a) "I haven't thought that far ahead" which means no
or
b) "I think they could be a good choice" which means, lets see how people react.

Newt has too much baggage.

/turns out that Palin did too but no one knew about it
//everyone knows about Newts baggage

You think he's just playing to his base, but even then there would be no reason to say something as POHR as this.
"I can't imagine anybody who would do a better job of driving us to an energy solution than Gov. Palin."

2011-12-30 09:53:45 PM
Please do it, Republicans are the best at comedy.

Well, you get to be VP nominee for 2 times straight just because you got boobies and look half decent?

/For the shake of the country we need hot girls to be around politicians more.

WorldCitizen: he couldn't dismiss her as a possibility during the primaries as he needs to play to the lowest common denominator for the base votes.

Here's what I don't get. If I found myself having to play to the lowest common denominator to secure my party's base votes, I'd start thinking maybe I'm in the wrong party.

Gingrich sounds like a slang abbreviation of "getting rich".

"Yo yo you. We gon' rob dis bank, den we be g'ingrich, homes."

Palin a heartbeat away from the presidency, this is what Republicans actually want!

So wait, the guy who stupid people think is smart and the girl who smart people think is stupid might team up? Go team.

My family is ridiculously Republican. I mean Nixon got jobbed, Reagan was God, Bush saved the world Republican. Even they are ashamed of the field of Republican contenders.

For God's sake, why don't they just run Glenn Beck and be done with it?

I quit the Department of Energy during the Bush years . . . I worked for Sandia National Laboratories and it was going from bad to worse. Caltech BS, Stanford PhD. Truth is, they don't want us anymore. Them sciencey think-it-alls are the enemy of one of the national parties. Made me sick to my stomach. I worked at the goddamned Combustion Research Facility, but even the oil companies didn't want to know more about how their product actually burned in a car engine; it could have resulted in more efficient use of their product.

I weep for our nation.

You know how in every Palin thread someone from the Right "wonders" why us Libs are so obsessed with Sarah Palin? Then you turn around and they're talking about considering her for VP again. Sure, it's only talk at this point but the fact that a major candidate is even pretending to consider her not cool.

Have there not been one or two other serial vice presidential candidates in American history? Nineteenth-century dudes, perhaps?

Sarah who?
