...warning against "the federal-homosexual cover-up on AIDS."

You mean when St. Ronnie fiddled as the disease burned through the population? That coverup?

2011-12-30 01:35:41 PM
Nope, Subby, President Obama and Democrats weren't shocked that Ron Paul wasn't one of our own.

We just glad he's one of your own instead.

And any derptard who runs around calling Obama a liberal is still not paying attention.

When a Klansman/Nazi says that your racist writings are a little over the top..... uh..... I'm.... speechless.

A white supremacist called Mr. Black?

Ron Paul doesn't have skeletons in his closets. He has white robes and pointy hats.

This is bad news... for Paul bashers.

Doesn't matter. Paul will never get the nomination. I wish he would, but he won't.

If he did he would lose, and badly, when the real independents hear Paul say we should have risked losing Osama and his treasure trove of information, not to mention the lives of American SEALs, by first asking Pakistan's permission before we raided.

He will never be president, no matter how much you try to white-wash his racist past.

President Obama is progressive in his tax plans; moderate in other areas. For example, he was for equality for GLBTs, particularly in the military and the workplace. But, he wasn't for gay marriage, only civil unions.

As for vanilla, you are way off base as he's got a good handle on things and takes effective action, especially with dealing with the Executive Branch, which drives the GOP crazier. :-)

I'd say he has been an above average President with the health care reform, withdrawl of troops from Iraq, and other actions, like getting elected in the first place. I love how he's pressing the Republicans slowly into a corner over taxes and their obvious suck-up to the rich at the expense of the poor and middle-class.

Ron Paul's reaction to an independent ad featuring a black man talking about how Dr. Paul treated his white wife when no one else would--and then took care of the hospital bill.

Whatever you may think about Ron Paul, it's a pretty neat piece of an interview. I especially liked how he took it in stride as if that behavior were a matter of course for him.

The link is to a radio interview of Paul reacting to the ad, not the ad itself.

I don't see him against abortion, gay rights, fair taxation that includes the rich, separation of church and state, workers' rights, health care reform, environmental policies to protect people from industrial pollution, and so on.

I do see him not sucking up to the rich, financial institutions, religious zealots, white racists, and so on as the Republicans do.

Sounds like you've got wishfull, delusional thinking there, dude. But that's OK. You can keep living in your fantasy world of GOP soundbites and trumped up illogical assessments.

A small fiddle playing for all the Limbaugh Liberals (Limbaugh and liberals attack Paul in the same way...hence "Limbaugh Liberals") who called Ron Paul a racist

Kinda hard to put the racist tag on Paul, since he has done so much charity and pro-bono medical care for BLACKS and MINORITIES.

It is hilarious watching the far-left and the Neo-Cons/Nearly-Coms go have a group hug with the KKK and Free Republic because they were so wrong about Ron Paul...boohoooo. Maybe Glenn Beck can cry for you too....Limbaugh Liberals

Look, man, Ron Paul is a racist - Fark told me so.

It doesn't matter how much evidence exists to the contrary - your link, or this one or that one where he talks about the racism inherent in the drug war, or the fact that he's disavowed them numerous times - it's all bunk and not as good as those newsletters I've seen posted hundreds of times on this site.

Besides, even if he wasn't a racist, ALL of his policies are bad for the country - we MUST continue the war on drugs and keep the Federal Reserve, Medicare, and Social Security all going along in their present states with no reform to any of them whatsoever (unless the reform is raising taxes on the wealthy some more, of course)

I'm a FarkProg, and I've already made up my mind. I can't just disagree with his policies; I have to call him out on his racism (also so I can call any of his supporters racist as well - it's easier than forming cogent arguments).

So why do you support a racist?

We'll find out whether he's actually a progressive on taxes when the inevitable extension of the Bush tax cuts comes up for his veto at the end of next year (I believe that's when).

As for other stuff...he let the GOP and special interests walk all over him on HCR, many of the troops from Iraq are just being shuffled to other deployments, and the full withdrawal only happened because Iraq refused Obama's requests for US troops/bases staying in Iraq, he's continued the use (and expansion) of police powers just like previous presidents, he sucks on drugs, like every other president, he's failed repeatedly on transparency, he certainly hasn't fixed special interests in Washington, he continues to refuse to actually support gay marriage (though being against DADT and DOMA is a start), etc.

Obama is the best of two bad options, but let's not pretend he's a good progressive choice. Maybe next term, when he no longer has to worry about getting reelected, but I'm not holding my breath for then either.

You don't pay much attention to what President Obama actually does, do you? Explain his being only for civil unions, his expanding the Bush tax cuts, his turnaround on prosecuting the telecoms for illegal wiretapping, his seeming willingness to sign SOPA, his giveaways to the banking industry (though I have heard a very few interesting defenses for that one).

Of course, President Obama didn't pay much attention to what the Constitution says in his ConLaw classes at Harvard, so maybe that's America's problem - not paying attention enough.
