I expect Overeem to knock Lesnar out quickly but I'm hoping Brock manages to hang in there with Alistair for at least a round. If this goes to the ground, it's whoever's on top that'll crush who's on the bottom.

As for Diaz and Cerrone - I'm a Diaz Brothers hater but I recognize their freaky talent so I expect Nate to take this with a submission.

I was leaning towards Overeem but changed my mind. I've got Lesnar.
Diaz/Cerrone is also a tough one. I'm going to go with Cowboy.

Some pretty good looking fights on the fb prelims. I'll take Nunes, Riddle, Volkmann and Pierson.

Spike fights... don't know a whole lot about these guys, though I've seen most of them fight before. I particularly remember having seen Castillo and Pearson. I'll take them.
Main card
Hettes via submission
Matyushenko/Gustafsson is a tough one. I'll take Matyushenko via experience. He's looked impressive in his last few fights against opponents not named Jon Jones. But I like Gustafsson.
Fitch via we'll all be asleep by the time it goes to the judges
Cerrone via footwork
And Lesnar via superior PEDs

If the stay on their feet, Brock is toast. If Brock can get it to the ground, anything can happen...and that's his best shot. Overeem definitely has experience on his side along with the fact that Brock doesn't like to get hit in the face.

Then again, a lot of the Strikeforce fighters haven't faired so well in the UFC (looking at you Jake Shields).

Honestly Pham is getting better and his last fight was fun, but he's almost a pure striker, and not much of a defensive one. Not sure about his TDD, IIRC that was a weakness vs a wrestler in his season of TUF... though I don't know much about his Hettes' takedown abilities, his background is Judo so maybe he's more a lateral drop/throw guy vs single/double/high crotch etc.

Could be I'm underestimating Pham (or overestimating his opponent).

Don't let their records fool you. Most of Overeem's fights were at light-heavyweight and/or against inferior competition. At heavyweight, he's beaten the likes of Brett Rogers (a tire technician and wife-beater) and Fabricio Werdum (a BJJ specialist). Brock has fought and beat better guys (Mir, Carwin). If Overeem wins, it will be via submission. I'm predicting Brock by TKO/ground n pound, round 2.

Main event is a pick-em. I think Brock's going to come out on top, but I'm pulling for Overreem. Overreem can't commit heavily to his strikes because of the significant TD threat from Brock. I think too many people make way too much hay over Brock's ability to take a punch to the face. He is no shrinking violet after eating a punch, hell, he's the only cat to survive and stay conscious after the brutalization at the end of a Carwin rampage, let alone come back to win. Overrreem's primary threat is the knee to the melon on Brock's shot, as Brock comes in really high. If he gets the underhook and connects with the knee, Brock is going to see stars.

Also pick Cerrone over Diaz. Diaz is far too willing to wade deep into waters where he's outclassed - on the feet - and hasn't shown the discipline to force a fight where he really shines. Diaz is a tough bastard, though and is always in the fight to the very end. Cerrone can't get complacent.

Fitch will Fitch Hendricks. Phan should also win. I expect the Janitor to get Mauled.

Overeem needs to do anything besides get taken down. His standup is way better than Brock's, and his JJ is pretty good but I don't know if it's good enough to sub Brock.

In the end I see Brock taking Overeem down and hammerfisting him into oblivion. Though a ko by Overeem wouldn't surprise me either o_0

Reem's guillotine won't be much of a threat. Brock keeps his head dead center to the check on his double. I think the knee is a bigger problem for him.
