The piece might be fair, if Obama were running for the GOP or DEM nomination. He's an unchallenged incumbent at the moment.

"WHY ISN'T FARTBONGO BEING ASKED THE SAME QUESTIONS AS THE GOP CANDIDATES."

"Um...well...he's not a GOP candidate and he's not involved with those debates."

Oh, no question I'd love it. But I'm not foolish enough to expect it.

And for what it's worth, I do think he's getting a pass from the media -- all of it - on the NDAA thing. I'm still waiting for a reply to the email I sent to the campaign.

Honestly, I wouldn't expect a response.

So, explain this to me: For months every time anybody in the executive branch, regardless of which administrative agency does it, does something, the press shout, "Obama did ____! Shame on him." Yet, now, they're weeping because he's allowing his administrators to speak for him while he has a freaking vacation. This is absurd.

It's time again for your "Obama gets a free ride on the tough issues by the liberal media" media story of the day hourly derptard whinefest

Yet, during all that time, the man they hope to defeat next November has rarely been asked by news reporters about many of these issues.

Gee, could that be because he's not criss-crossing Iowa trying to get in front of as many cameras as possible? Huh? Ya think?

Remember how relentless the media were when Bush was taking us towards war in Iraq? Yeah....

2011-12-30 02:32:43 PM
In all fairness, the press is still waiting for Obama to the questions about his birth certificate.

Incumbent president lays low during primary season, while opponents look like lunatics and idiots.

Dear God. This has never been done throughout the entirety of American history.

He's still the president. He should still be answering tough questions and taking shiat from know it all reporters. That's what presidents are supposed to do. We're not supposed to just give them a free pass once they win the election.

Richard Benedetto is a retired USA Today White House correspondent and columnist. He now teaches for The Fund for American Studies at Georgetown University and politics & journalism at American University.

I hadn't heard of this organization before, but it had that peculiar ring to it that so many right-wing organizations share. Sure enough, it's not actually what you might call "nonpartisan".

This goes a long way in explaining why this article is such a conservative sob-fest.

Fart_Machine: So the liberal media is bad because they're spending too much attention on the GOP candidates? LOLWUT?

It is rather enjoyable to see the GOP actively regretting their idiotic plan to overexpose their weak candidates through a series of faux-debates.
If they would have just hired me during the planning phase I could have saved them a lot of money and embarrassment.

What kind of retard still supports this loser anyway? Let's face it, he's a snakeoil salesman who hoodwinked and bamboozled a bunch of unthinking idiots who fell for his rhetorical mumbo-jumbo and Nazi-like propaganda. Put that in your hope pipe and smoke it.

What's become abundantly clear since its inception is that Real Clear Politics is covered with the taint of a dank frothy mix of excrement infused GOP jism. It's like they are desperately trying to stay relevant in a field where Santorum is surging from behind.

We know all of his positions, he is after all implementing them.

If the world changes you can bet Obama is going to take a stand and elaborate on something. But we don't need to ask him AGAIN where he stands on health insurance or the war on terror. Especially when you can read any newspaper in the world and see where the US is going.

You forgot Muslin, communist, marxist, socialist and empty suit. Please check the derptroll talking points before posting next time.

Here's the thing, I will not be supporting Obama with my time or money this time around because I strongly disagree with some of the things he has done. I will, however, vote for him because he does things that I agree with 50-75% of the time. Generic Republican candidate will do things that I agree with 0-25% of the time and depending on who it is may be mentally unhinged. I would like a real progressive to challenge Obama but that won't happen and a real progressive isn't electable anyhow. So has Obama been disappointing? Sure. But voting for him as the only grown up candidate is not a hard decision, really.

Nishu: He's still the president. He should still be answering tough questions and taking shiat from know it all reporters. That's what presidents are supposed to do. We're not supposed to just give them a free pass once they win the election.

To be fair, he's had to spend an inordinate amount of time answering silly questions like "where were you born" and taking shiat from know-nothing congresspeople instead. In addition, he's had a pretty predictable relationship with the press corps. No Jeff Gannons apparently.

The irony is that the media only looks liberal to conservatives because conservatives are too far gone to realize that they are now a far-right party. If anything, the media is compulsive about making conservatives look sane, if only from a CYA perspective.

Question for president Obama from Kenya: Why no war with Mexico? They keep sending them illegals aliens here and chopping off patriotic Americans heads next to Guvenor Jan Brewers house. And what about them illegals spaceships of them illegals? We could use them to harvest moon oil.

Other question for Black guy standing behind the Presidents podium: Israel told me Iran haz nucular weapons of mass destruction. Why we no attack them for Americans to be able to watch the trial and hanging on the TV? I'ze got 3 christian sons ready to be sacrificed for the greater good of all that sweet sweet oil to heat my house for one month of the year and keep the beer truck fleet moving.

Nother question for 1 term President: Mailman said he might not be able to deliver my welfare check anymore on Saturday, cause of too many people using eeemail. I even found out Internet is full of pictures of naked fat ladies, so I had to cancel my glossy magazine prescription, which stopped his daily deliveries and my ten minutes of talking to him to find out what neighbors are getting in their mail. Maybe I has to go back to borrowing their mail to see what blasphemous stuff they get..

Final question Barry: Keystone beer is good, but why you no give them money to build beer pipeline from AlsBerta to Texass?

Yeah, like shutting down gitmo and ending the Iraq occupation by 2009? I supported Obama in 2008, and lemme tell you I was pleased as punch to see him get involved in Lybia, follow bushs timeline for Iraq and threaten to veto the NDAA over him not being given enough "flexibility" over detaining American citizens. And why the fark does no one ask him why we have 16000 troops and contractors in Iraq after the 2 years late end to the occupation in Iraq?

This is news?

The JournoList scandal made it crystal clear that the media was going to not only treat Obama with kids gloves, but actively engage in libel of his opponents in order to help him win. Even when faced with ethnic cleansing of bl

"If the right forces us all to either defend Wright or tear him down, no matter what we choose, we lose the game they've put upon us. Instead, take one of them - Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares - and call them racists." - Spencer Ackeman - The New Republic

Given that my wife and I are involved with Occupy, NDAA kind of scares the shiat out of us. These are reasonable things that reasonable people would like answers to but are being drowned out by this rightist clownshow because the wingnuts support the same shiat and they don't want these questions being asked either.

None of that changes the fact that the article's premise is idiotic.
