I'm pretty sure that absolute dictators get laid with or without nukes.

North Koreas nuclear program is more a desperate gamble to stay relevant as their economy and culture steadily decline relative to the rest of the world.

/also helps them demand the poor and inferior west (who envies their lifestyle) continue all those free grain and oil shipments.

I know you're not serious but I have heard people make that claim before. Retorting that "at least in the west we can ask that question of our government without being shot" usually shuts those people up.
