not as cool as the frisbee that guinness sent me a couple of months ago for the same exact survey, but cool nonetheless.

2003-10-14 03:42:42 PM
Sweet indeed.
It'll look nice next to my Greene King Abbot Ale towel!

hrm, guinnessoffer.com is not owned by Guinness... wonder why that is.

Also the survey redirects to yet another site that isn't owned by Guinness.

This could be on the up and up, but I'm a bit skeptical.

This appears to be a marketing firm in Dublin. Going to newworldiq.com shows it is some kind of online promotional thingie. I would say it's legit. If not, I just gave them two very deletable addresses on my domain that will quickly be bouncing mail should my mailboxes be filled with spam.

Crap I filled it out and then looked at the "not available to" list. Farking California....

2003-10-14 04:17:59 PM
iv'e done this before. i got a wall mounted bottle opener, a "black and tan" spoon, and a regular bottle opener.

2003-10-14 04:19:45 PM
Don't sweat the "not available" list, I'm pretty sure that some people still got the bottle openers & frisbees from the previous offers.

All I can say is I'd better get my towel, ASAP. I've got a lot of hurl to clean up.

2003-10-14 04:24:01 PM
I've received both a fridge magnet and a frisbee from Guiness in the past. I should have no problem gettin' this stuff too.

Thanks to the poster!

2003-10-14 04:28:50 PM
Excellent!

2003-10-14 04:29:31 PM
Ah... Thanks poster and thanks TF

2003-10-14 04:36:22 PM
Enh. Last time they offered something -- a beer-opening keychain -- they sent me a regular keychain, saying they'd run out of the beer-openers.

So I tossed it.

Hah, offer is good in AZ! Another reason Californians are moving to Arizona!

2003-10-14 05:45:44 PM
They sent me the Guinness wall mounted bottle opener last spring and I live in Texas.

2003-10-14 05:53:06 PM

Actually it was March 2003 and they sent no spam to my email and no junk mail to my home.

Friend,

A while back, you responded to an offer for a free bottle opener from
Guinness. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten you.

Apparently every Guinness lover in the country wanted their own free
opener, so we had to order more. The new shipment is expected to arrive
in early March, and then we'll send your opener to you without any
further delay. We promise.

In the meantime, we hope you'll sit back, relax, and enjoy a Guinness.
(Borrow an opener from a friend, or go to a bar and enjoy a pint.)

Cheers!
Your friends at Guinness

Now that headline made me laugh!

2003-10-14 06:23:46 PM
Well, I got in just before it went live. I hope it worked.

2003-10-14 06:26:16 PM
Wow, i must have just caught this, hopefully they had 250 to give away! :D

2003-10-14 06:28:07 PM
Yeah, I got my free bottle opener from them, too. A pretty nice piece of metal, for free.

So far, the good folk at Guiness are the only ones who actually delivered after the legendary Fark Freebie Friday.

2003-10-14 06:28:32 PM
As if the taxes here weren't killing me, now I can't get a towel because I live in CA.

2003-10-14 06:28:43 PM
FYI, even though I live in TX, I got the free bottle opener a year ago. Might not have been legal, but it showed up anyway.

2003-10-14 06:28:48 PM
Bah, Where is the list of available Provinces.

2003-10-14 06:28:57 PM
Sweet. Got the bottle opener, now I'm getting the towel.. What next, free beer?

2003-10-14 06:30:13 PM
I got my bottle opener, mounted it next to the new window in the freshly remodeled kitchen. Now I'll have a bar towel too. Thanks poster!

2003-10-14 06:30:14 PM
How long until this offer is officially farked? I say soon.

2003-10-14 06:30:33 PM
Most products say "satisfaction guaranteed". If you dont like it, send the remaining portions back and your money will be refunded, as they say.

Now, if I send their towel back, with the puke that their product caused, does that show enough loyalty to at least earn back my $20?

If it wont let you get both just use your first initial of your first name instead of the whole thing. Or a different email address. Likely to sign you up as a separate person.

Then you'll get double the spam.

2003-10-14 06:38:34 PM
