You just knew it had to be a Buick.

I see nothing in the article indicating that these morans lived in the projects. Methinks Subby was doing some assumptions.

Police say the pair are believed to be living in the Desire housing project and are expected to be arrested soon.

Maybe if you tried reading TFA, you'd be qualified to comment on it.

The best get away car in the burbs is a Nissan Altima. Everyone knows that.

Methinks you have a hair trigger on calling subby racist.

I've said it before - "Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?"

Ok that's hilarious. Would have been funnier if they couldn't get the car started though. Sadly this is my local branch and is just a few miles down the road. I'll have to pop in and check on the tellers this week.

Sadly the criminals haven't really learned not to mess with the St Tammany police. A few months after I moved here I had a biatch of a time getting to work in traffic that was not normally there. As I came abreast of the area where the hold up was I saw a car by the side of the road. It was riddled with several dozen gunshot holes. I found out later that some one had robbed the 24 hour drug store for pills and hoped to escape across the causeway before it was noticed. The cops blocked him off and he opened fire. So did they. Don't mess with crazy, bored suburban cops.

That was an alarmingly alliterative headline.

Also, props to the writer for getting in the cunning plan quote.

Very surprised to see this wasn't an article about Newark, NJ thugs in suburban Essex County.

I'm convinced that cops are incompetent but the average criminal is even dumber.

My lord that whole article is like the what not to do chapter in bank robbery.

1. Don't bring more than one other person with you because more people means more talkers and liabilities.
2. Make sure your getaway car is running
3. Take the damn license plate off your car
3 1/2. Better yet don't even use your own car
4. Don't involve another person you can talk to and create a new witness
5. Only take the money from the teller drawers as you will then see them load the bag
6. Don't knock over a bank in the first place as they have more cameras than anywhere
7. Don't brag about it later (not in this article but from a few days ago with teens who bragged on facebook)

And that's just 5 minutes of thought, I'm sure I could probably think of more. The point is, this shiat isn't that hard to do semi-competently. At least make the cops work for it.

We don't see the articles where they make the cops work for it, because then they're successful and the media won't pick up the story. After all, CRIME DOESN'T PAY.

That's nothing. You should hear about the time that my cleaning lady Clara Clifford discovered that my clean copper clappers that were kept in the closet had been copped by Claude Cooper, the kleptomaniac from Cleveland.

/I clobbered him.

------

If they were remotely competent at anything besides "sucking at life", they wouldn't be robbing banks in the first place.

I don't think banks even keep enough cash around these days to justify the risk of getting shot and killed by a guard or LE. The last time I bought a used vehicle for cash, my bank said they couldn't give me more than $10k at once unless I called in the day before and told them how much I needed. That tells me a small branch probably doesn't keep much more than that on hand. If I was going to risk terminal lead poisoning, I'd want to see the prospect of at least a million dollar payday.

I believe banks are required to report cash transactions involving $10K or more. The delay might have been paperwork.

Can't believe that happened here. Live a few miles from the bank. They will probably get life in prison, the district attorney here likes to make examples of people who come from far away to rob/steal/rape/pillage. As a bonus I'd bet a dollar the guy in the parking lot giving them a jump was armed and a better shot then all 3 of them. The guy who got a life sentence for having or selling weed came out of the same courthouse these are going to be in.

That's generally good advice, no matter where you're from, and no matter where your target is located.

One of the better "America's Dumbest" featured a couple of bank robbers who stole a car, robbed the bank and then ran out of gas. Yep, didn't check to see if the tank was full...

This. Came here to say I don't think St. Tammany cops are this damn alliterative. What not just have the alliterative phrase, and then quote cops: "yeah, like you said..."
