You should get a closer look at the ceiling in the bathroom of someone who uses aerosol hairspray.

It's the hairiest and most glossy surface in the house.

What is the deal with "Coming to America" references today? It made the front page of slickdeals. When I went to lunch today, the radio host was talking about the movie. Now it is here. What gives?

Fixed. Stupid movie should be left to die the forgotten death of Gigli.

CSS time (kind of)

My friend and I were shopping at the mall across the street from that McDowell's. We were wondering how they could replace the McDonald's, make it look that similar and get away with it. Then the movie came out and all was clear.

TripAdvisor has a review for the Schrute Farms Bed and Breakfast (new window)

"The food and entertainment were top notch (proprietor Mos and a deranged mental patient named Dwight performed an exquisite rendition of Lady Windermere's Fan and the beet pie was amazing).

But, I didn't feel I was announced loudly enough to bestow the proper amount of honor on the guests during the daily garden party.

Also, I think my wife got scabies from the bed.

Room Tip: Don't try to eat the beet shaped soaps. They're just soap."

"The Schrute's were gracious hosts, who literally bent over backwards to make our stay a pleasant one. (It was really interesting to hear the cracking noises their backs made as they bent over!)
We are big fans of beets, so naturally, we thought we'd died and gone to heaven at dinner time!
Beetburgers (great for the vegetarians among us!), mashed beets with gravy, beet bread, and beet pie for dessert! Wow, what a spread!! We especially enjoyed the beet wine that was served before bedtime. Speaking of bedtime - well Sweet Dreams to you! The rooms were comfy and decorated nicely, and the mattresses definitely had fresh straw packed in within the last month.. We slept like babies!
Too soon, our visit was over - after many hugs and a few tears (mine!) we were given a basket of (what else), beets "for later"...
When you visit "The Farms", as they're called by the locals, be sure to read the history of Schrute Farms and the Civil War. Fascinating!

Room Tip: Try to stay away from the barn at slaughter time."

There should be a warning: The restaurant does not take kindly to diseased rhinoceros pizzles.

I think Yelp deleted it. Couldn't find a listing for it in Queens, although I did find one for the Wendy's that stood in for McDowell's in the film.

Our collective unconscious decided today was the day for Coming to America references.
