i recently decided (as in, sometime in the past week) that i'm not going to care at all who makes what song, what the history of most bands/singers/etc is...other than a select few that i'm actually a big fan of (pearl jam, a bunch of classic rockers, zac brown, etc.) i couldn't care less about how or why songs were made...i either like them or i don't.

for example "party rock anthem" is catchy and fun, my 2 year old son loves that kia hamster commercial with that song, and i'm fine with that. also: lady a., and thompson square...both sound a little over produced or something, and i really don't think lady a. paid ANY dues to make it to superstardom, but dang it if i don't like their music
