The only possible reason to want to see Gingrich get the nomination is how much it would piss off Rove.

Diogenes: The only possible reason to want to see Gingrich get the nomination is how much it would piss off Rove.

Oh the congressional republicans would have a collective shiatfit. Especially those who were around for his shenanigans during the Clinton administration.

I hear someone provided him with three statisticals.

That list wasn't quite as full of derp as the headline hinted, but it was still pretty derpy.

Particularly this:
• To intimidate critics and provoke higher black turnout, Democrats will play the race card more than in any election since 1948. Witness Attorney General Eric Holder's recent charge that criticism of him and the president was "both due to the nature of our relationship and . . . the fact that we're both African-Americans."

Let's say that Obama will be pulling the race card all over the place (I don't particularly think he will, but whatever). Is there a number somewhere detailing the number of race cards thrown down in '48? This is classic Rove style: "It's the biggest since [LONG_TIME_AGO], and that's how you know it's big. Really big! And bad. Really bad!"

And if ever there was a genius, it's George W. Bush's Brain.

George W. Bush's Brain.

George W. Bush's Brain.

How much more does it take to think any less of this loser?

Karl Rove saying something that has nothing to do with reality to rile up the fringe right and demoralize the majority into not voting?

Rove knows the results because he paid for them. Most votes are still filtered though one source and easy enough to modify if you know the right people.

Accountability for other people, for the crimes that the conservatives committed.

I love this line: "Attorney General Eric Holder's recent charge that criticism of him and the president was "both due to the nature of our relationship and . . . the fact that we're both African-Americans"

what relationship?
yeah, dead border agents and sending weapons to the drug cartels is a race issue.

what an idiot Holder is.

So in 1948, when a black man could be beaten to death for eye-balling a white woman it was STILL playing the race card to say that there are bigots in America? Jesus.

what part do you disagree with?

Do you think that the Dems will hold the Senate or win back the House?
Do you think that Pelosi will stay on? Her daughter said today that Pelosi would retire today if she could.

Obama trails Romney 39 to 46. Do you think that he is that much of a lock to win?

Not as a good a policy of deliberately outing CIA agents but it's close

See the 9th dot, the one between Q1-Q3 2009. That is approximately when the recovery plan was actually put into effect. Unfortunately the chart was made months ahead of time and assumed zero time to get the bill passed and implemented. (They also assumed a bigger plan than one passed)

Sheesh. The headline isn't a whole lot more laughable than what the article actually says. If what's in that article comes true this nation is effed. Look at what's going on in states that had a teabagger get into power. Now think if the HoR, Senate, and the WH were all controlled by these people. There would be no recovering from even 2 years of the damage they would unleash.

And folks, this is exactly why Karl Rove will be right in his predictions. The Democrat(ic) circular firing squad manned by the OWS decampers is going to tear apart of the Democrat(ic) Party in 2012. Charlotte, North Carolina is going to make for some good reality TV in September.

LOL. The old bandwagon technique of debating. "A lot of people agreed". That's the same technique that they used to get the Senate's approval.

Que Family Guy sketch:

I think that's just silly. The growing income disparity, corporate money in politics, and Republican defense of the 1% will be the rallying cry of the Dems.... and the majority of the public is listening. That's why the conversation has shifted from "deficits are the worst thing ever" to "why can't the middle class get ahead?"

2011-12-29 12:57:48 PM
Karl, you spent years poisoning the political discourse and you set the stage for the GOP to be taken over by a bunch of half-witted troglodytes. You are now in a panic because you got exactly what you wanted in the form of a Teabaggie takeover and it's not what you expected.

You are a horrible ham, Karl Rove. FOAD.

HotWingConspiracy: You mean like the teabaggers already did to the GOP? Except in that case it's real, and not a fantasy of yours?

You are correct, the Democrats held the House in 2010 and gained seats in the Senate along with gaining historic gains in the state legislatures and gubernatorial offices around the USA because of the Teahaddists. My mistake...

2011-12-29 01:01:02 PM
Rove is an immeasurable asshole, but he's not stupid. Far from it. He's actually pretty adept at feeling the pulse of his Republican electorate, so I don't think he fully believes everything he's stating here.

Boehner keeping his job? Voter turnout increases? He's cheerleading.

Mr. Obama's signature health-care overhaul, already deeply unpopular, will become even more so by Election Day. Women voters are particularly opposed to ObamaCare, feeling it threatens their family's health.

Wait, wut?

/first time I've heard this excuse
