I love Quiznos (and used to work there in high school, which tells you it is not completely disgusting behind the scenes (or I guess not at the one I worked at)).
As long as they keep these employees and areas separate I think this is a good idea that brings Quiznos closer to me.

Terrible financial structure and the mothership has put the squeeze on the franchisees, resulting in closure of 40% of the stores. Still bankruptcy looms (new window).

That model seems to be working for Wawa markets (hoagies & gas pumps) pretty well in the Philly/South Jersey area.

Killer deal is the Wawa coffee.

Works here in York, PA with Sheetz and Rutters gas stations. MTO at every location.

Locally the franchisees were suing stating that they were set up to fail and the corporate office was picking up the failed franchises on the cheap and profiting that way.
