I don't give a shiat what standard you use, he's a model citizen, his wife is beautiful, his children are perfect, and he's got the quinquennial pull-yourself-up-by-your-own-bootstraps story . . .his biggest fault is what? Smoking?

And as much as Republicans would like to claim his biggest fault is the (D) behind his name, he's still a better Republican than they are.

Who wouldn't admire the guy?

My older brother, for one. To his credit, he puts it this way: "I can't believe we are having back-to-back, the worst presidents we have ever had." When pressed though, he just says "I don't like the things he is doing." No real details follow.

one should be less apt to believe their press. but if you are a narcissist like the Bamster, you can't help but believe it.

Truly, the test comes next November. Any bad Rep will pummel Bammy in the general election no matter how many lies the democrats, the left, and the sympathetic media tell us.

Did you put "prophet" in quotation marks so as to differentiate the "Mormon prophet" from all the "true prophets" running around? Because I'm pretty sure that they're all full of crap.

FTA:
The fact that Obama topped the list was far from a surprise; a sitting or newly-elected president has earned the most-admired distinction in each of the past 31 years and 55 out of the 65 times the survey has been conducted.

............

That scrappy little underdog overcame 6:1 odds in his favor. Truly an inspiration to us all.

2011-12-28 11:58:41 PM
I get Obama, as they point out, being President at the time of the poll is pretty much a shoe in, but wtf is with Hillary? Other than being married to Bill, what has she actually done? It seems as though her whole career has been spun up from "Vote for me, I was Mrs. President!"

Actually an honest question, I don't care for her, but I don't understand those who find her so admirable.

FubarBDilligaf: Actually an honest question, I don't care for her, but I don't understand those who find her so admirable.

She managed to get into Yale Law School, became the first-ever female executive director of the US Legal Services Corporation, made millions with shrewd trades in the cattle futures market, and earned a higher paycheck than Bill up until the point that he became President. She left her career behind to move to DC, but as soon as his presidency was over she returned to public life, being elected Senator, coming close to being the first-ever female nominee for President, and then becoming the Secretary of State. I'd say she's done plenty to admire. Not quite the "rags to riches" story of Barry Soetoro, but she definitely worked her way up in the world, unlike silver spoon Bush.

Obama is stuck in infinite detention in my heart. Unlike Gitmo, my love for him will never close. My dislike for him is as unsubstantial as banking reform we received in the midst of one of the most egregious economic crisis in our history.

I've often brought this point up to republican boyfriends/friends.. they don't have anything to say about the fact that he's the American dream. they just don't like him.
