It's been done.

/You might slide in and out of a hallucinatory state afterwards. If you do, just relax and enjoy it. It will soon go away.

The whole point of Wonkavision was that you get real chocolate. This thing has no chocolate.

EPIC FAIL

Now if they make one that reaches around, THAT would be impressive.

Between reality tv and this, we are getting closer to the interactive tv envisioned in "Fahrenheit 451".

So, when do we get the Goatse channel?

Uh, what's the point?

I've been reading for a while now that TV makers are looking to revolutionize TV but until they come up with actual 3-D holographic projection (which would of course require special filming techniques and wouldn't work for anything made in history up to this point) I don't think anything needs to be done.

Flat screen HDTVs are great and do everything I want TV to do for me. I'm not even impressed with 3-D TVs. I still haven't seen a 3-D movie either. To me, 3-D movies were just a bad '50s fad.

But I was told not to adjust my television set.

Screw movies. Video games are where the technology really gets interesting. Arkham City in 3D is what convinced me the technology actually has some merit. Wipeout HD is also makes great use of 3D. Once I finish with Arkham, I've got Uncharted 3 on my list or games to play in 3D next. The glasses do get a little tiring after a few hours of play, though.

It was floor-to-ceiling television, which was immersive, but not interactive. The actors on the television in that book never acknowledged the people who were watching them.

That's part of what made the reference to them as family so sad.

Between reality tv and this, the future is a bunch of idiots pretending to fight and grope one another while they whine about their problems, pretending that millions of people are watching and actually give a shiat.

Then... apocalypse. Sweet, merciful apocalypse.

I'm ok with this just as long as the porn industry doesnt fund a tv that stuff comes out of.

Soon to be followed by cast "members" you can "reach around".
