Illinois needs more explicit laws.

Arkansas reads thus: A woman may breastfeed a child in a public place or any place where other individuals are present.

Two women showed up at a local Target for the "flash mob" and, when told that Pennsylvania already HAD a law allowing nursing mothers to whip 'em out anywhere without fear of legal retribution, replied with "oh, we didn't know that."

Attention-Whoring: Denied.

Another greenlight on this?

Are the admins that desperate for anything related to breasteses?

Yeah, I think all states should protect that right, but I wouldn't be inclined to join in a boob-in. Still nursing baby #2 and frankly my boobs want to be allowed some privacy!

This thread is USELESS without pics of lactating tits.

Yeah, that all started because of an attention whore at my local Target (in far Southeast Houston)..
The woman decided to breastfeed her child on the floor in the woman's section... with absolutely no regard to other customers who could have run her over with their carts (which she would have also blamed on Target).
She was offered a dressing room so she could breast feed out of shoppers way, and she threw a fit.
I hate these militant breastfeeding mothers....

I always thought the best way to deal with this, if you didn't like it, was to just stare.

Imagine if you will, bringing in the HS football team to stare at the moms. That would stop it cold.

2011-12-28 05:32:39 PM
We should ban having children. That'd put a stop to it.

2011-12-28 05:33:12 PM
What is ironic is most of the children being breast-fed by Farkers will in all likelihood live miserable lives, they are destined for failure from birth, they are doomed to lives of utter misery.

So pulling out your sad ass looking tit won't do any good.

I had no idea that staring teenage boys could make a baby cease to be hungry, and stop the normal letting-down process of a woman's milk in response. You must be a genius.

I'm just waiting for the day when these sit-ins will be met with a "No, Ma'am" style flashmob of misogynists intending to stare down the mothers. I can't WAIT to see that Fark thread.

Subject; Breastfeeding in public places

Look, you bunch of farking morons! Breastfeeding is not only allowed in ALL of our stores, warehouses, cafeterias, restrooms, broom closets, breakrooms, parking lots and any other area where people might be. IT IS THE FARKING LAW THAT YOU IMBECILES DON'T HASSLE WOMEN WHO NEED TO FEED THEIR KIDS!

I, as well as our Public Relations spokespeople, are sick and gawd-damned tired of having to answer questions from the media about why some braindead 3rd shift assistant manager of pet products in Whereeverthehellyourstoreis, America felt the need to not only make a jackass out of him or herself, but also cast a poor light on the Company as a whole. I realize it's partially our fault for even hiring dumbasses like that, but maybe if we shiatcan a few of them, the others will get the message. If a customer expresses disgust or outrage at the sight of a natural occurence, kindly show them where the exit is and offer them a nice day and free Slurpee or some such shiat!

I expect this will be the end of these sorts of issues, otherwise I will make an example out of your minimum wage ass.

Sincerely,
Frank Bossman, CEO

I hate prudish idiots who claim that the issue is the risk of a breastfeeding woman endangering herself or other shoppers.

It's breastfeeding, get over it.

My coworker in the cubicle next to me runs her breast pump during the workday, and I'm okay with this.

2011-12-28 05:41:57 PM
I just don't understand why this ever became an issue.

Attention whoring will continue, I assume. Imagine what happens when these mothers are asked to leave an establishment because of their unruly children five years down the road.

No effect on the baby, but the sight of 15 HS boys staring & drooling may have an effect on the AW moms.

How long until they complain about people posting pics of them breast feeding on facebook? If my phone had internet I'd be ready for it.

Will concur with the others: Hate these attention-whoring cows. Target's corporate policy already allows breastfeeding. If you gotta milk-whore yourselves, keep it confined to the store where the kerfuffle started. Leave the rest of us Target shoppers alone. AWing does not endear your cause to the rest of us.

And for those about to fap, remember, most of these cows truly are the size of holsteins. Activist lactators are seldom attractive and svelte.

Hankie Fest: You must be a genius.

Clearly you are not.

I think utilizing one's own modestly against them might give opponents a tool to push back. In this case a woman having a group or men/boys staring at her jublies while she breastfeeds.

We're really looking to see if the power of a gawker can override the desire of the mother to breastfeed.

I think it would an interesting experiment.

FFS, no one wants to see that fat, pasty, veiny, chapped teet you have hanging out, nor do we want to see the viscous fuild your child is sucking out of it.

Cover up or go to a fitting room, you farking cow.

Could have something to do with the calming effect of boobies.... or maybe it's just the ITG phenomena--all chatter and no matter.

Dude...she was sitting in the middle of the floor, for fark's sake! That is a safety issue, pure and simple. If I sat down and started to text, it would be the same safety issue.

If she had been sitting on a bench or something, you would have had a point.

2011-12-28 05:55:51 PM
This is still an issue? I've nursed in the Target pharmacy on the chairs where they give flu shots and there was no problem.

I don't use a nursing cover ; honestly it just makes it more obvious of what you're doing. I always wear nursing tanks under my shirt so not much gets exposed.

Plus, I don't like to eat my meals under a blanket... and neither does my baby!
