Jumping into conference play right away. That's... something.

is there anyway to kick mizzou out? please...
also, i think they need to go to 9 conference games in the future. it was bad enough with just 3 crossover games, but now with only two games, georgia can dodge every sec west team with a pulse.

Just like this year, right? Where the top two teams in the West are playing for the BCS title and no one from the East is in a BCS game?
Besides, the only other adequate team in the East this year didn't play either LSU or Alabama this year, either.
/Arkansas wasn't THAT good - they got axe-murdered by the only good teams they faced (LSU and Alabama)

Until they have to play (read: get mauled by) a team from the West in the SEC Championship.
Seriously, for all of the "SEC" lovefest that has occurred for the last decade, it is amazing to me that the teams in the East get to skate by under the "SEC" mantra. Between South Carolina and Georgia last season, they played
one
of the top teams in the SEC -- Scar played Arkansas. Neither played Bama or LSU. Coincidentally, both teams won 10 games.
Georgia will do the same in 2012, and they will probably be the sacrificial lamb to Bama or LSU in Atlanta, again. South Carolina will come back to earth a bit by having to play LSU. Still, when your division schedule includes Vandy, Kentucky, Tennessee and Florida, it isn't hard to imagine a 9 or 10 win season annually. (At least until Tennessee and Florida get their programs in order.)

Weren't the SEC East and West actually pretty balanced in power until about 2 years ago? It was the fact that Tennessee and UF both collapsed and haven't recovered yet that led to the West gaining a disproportionate advantage.

Pretty much, but it's been going on for more than two years. Florida was pretty dominant during the Meyer/Tebow years, but Florida was pretty dreadful between Spurrier and Meyer. Tennessee started the decline in the early-to-mid 2000's and hit rock bottom when it hired Lane Kiffen. Georgia had some fantastic teams in the early 2000's, but they have woefully underperformed since then.
South Carolina is, well, South Carolina. They are about to attend the best bowl game in the team's history, the Capital One Bowl. You may remember the Capital One Bowl by its former name: The Citrus Bowl. You may remember the Citrus Bowl because of Steve Spurrier making fun of Tennessee having to go to it:
"You can't spell 'Citrus' without 'UT.'"

Remember that zinger, Steve? Remember when going to the Citrus Bowl sucked ass? Well, your new team is about to make commemorative rings for this great "accomplishment"

Not bad. I wish the Tide was going to Aggieville but playing in Missouri will be interesting.
Early guess will be Bama vs. UGA in SEC Championship game only because UGA misses us and LSU. But I could see UGA tanking it and Missouri with the second year starter at QB giving headaches to the East.

You sound like a south carolina fan. if you promote any team you would promote florida due to recent success, national brand, and state population.
In 2003 uga played bama, lsu, and auburn, and once again in 2008 they played them. Its almost like these schedules follow a predefined cycle that was set in place years ago but yeah your tinfoil conspiracy sounds way more logical.

Missouri needs non-conference games and Boise State and BYU should be knocking down their door. I'm guessing another round against Southeast Missouri and some Sun Belt team are in the works instead.

Did is not are going to, UF looked horrible last year and doesn't look to get better any time soon.
Beside UGA has a locked in rivalry with auburn so that leaves one spot left and they got a lucky rotation.

Except I'm not a south carolina fan. I just see a conference with major prominence trying to tap into the largest urban area within its market, which also happens to border a rival conference (ACC). FWIW, I went to a Ohio (MAC, not tOSU), so I have no dog in this fight. Just making an observation. From a bidness standpoint, it makes sense to promote a team when you see $$ to be made. So they now have a schedule that is basically like every other big 10 or big 12 team, makes sense.
Oh and no one is scared of boise, the problem is that boise wont play anyone in the middle of the season after getting worn down and the other teams getting in gear, I would have loved to see a bowl game have the balls to schedule a UGA/boise rematch, the team looks 100 times better than it did to start the season.

Exactly how heavy are goal posts when you need to move them quickly?
Boise:
Can't be Oklahoma
Can't do it again.
Can't do it a 3rd time.
Only has to play TCU in a bowl. (TCU & Boise ranked 1-2 according to all models not farked with by the BCS)
Can't beat anyone in the regular season.

Not farked with by the BCS is assuming you are excluding computer polls and rankings? All boise supporters talking about how boise was in the 20s for SOS earlier this year and bama was in the 50s yet were ranked ahead of boise. Now boise is back to the 70s(which will drop further with another mwc team losing) and other teams have jumped up.
And what's this 3rd crap? You do realize that was a shiat OU team, right? People biatched about them getting a BCS game since they were crap and didn't deserve to be in there(I think Texas was in
the BCS).
All most of us have biatched about is that boise plays shiat teams almost all year except the first game, if they played tougher teams they would A) not blow teams out and B) have more losses per year.
And dammit if Richt didn't get lucky and make a good choice in Grantham for D-cord, they are playing as good as I have seen them in years, so yes if they were to play boise again I think it would be a vastly different outcome and more in line with the beatdown they got when they were in Athens in 2005.

The '3rd time' is just reference to whatever Boise does it's always 'yeah, but they can't do this'. I never heard "Boise can't beat a good team mid-season" until this year, MINUTES after beating UGA.

I'm sure the Boise AD gets dozens of phone calls from power conference teams that want to play them on November 1st, but he lets it go to voicemail.

Boise did that last year when they played a #24 ranked Oregon State team in the middle of the year and that did not stop the haters then either and don't forget the game with Nevada who ended up ranked around 10th to 15th in the polls. This year they played a TCU team that ended up ranked. These folks just glom onto talking points without doing much research.

Yeah, I like Boise, but I am not going to say that they deserve to be in the title game. Boise had its chance and did not pull it out with mid season losses the last two years.
This is a pretty good theme song for the Broncos for the last couple of years

I'm fine with Boise being out when they lose a game. After all, most teams are out when they get one loss and given their schedule, winning out is nessecary. It's only when they win out and don't get in that it is problematic(But that's true any year more than 2 teams go undefeated anyway).

Boise plays shiat teams because they are in a shiat conference, they shouldn't whine since the BCS was created to stop shiat teams like byu from winning again. And you haven't been reading the cfb threads enough I said years ago that they would have a tougher time in the middle of the year against a good team, and no headleaver, Oregon state doesn't count.
The boise AD did get calls until they started demanding money and 2 for 1 visits, they didn't want to take a home/home or even a one and done game without getting a huge payday.
