Missed the "relevant whiny b*tch" story timeframe by about two weeks. Now that the Broncos have lost a couple in a row, no one is hyping Tebow (not that they really were before, any more so than "he just wins"...which is basically the "but she has a great personality" of sports conversation about quarterbacks.

While Bible pushers around the country give praise and worship No. 15 on the Denver Broncos, the rest of the sports world has about had enough of this shiat.
Wrong, in fact the "sports world" loves this topic. It's an easy subject to fill airtime and print space with, pretty much everyone has a gut felling about it and it requires no knowledge whatsoever about the actual game to discuss.

You know, when they had Adam Schefter giving hourly updates on how Brett Favre's day was going, I had a hunch ESPN was turning themselves into a professional trolling organization. Then when they propped this kid up as the next greatest thing, I knew they were trolling for ratings.

ESPN sucks, your attempt to be like ESPN and whore some crap on Fark sucks more, and Tebow is an overrated rookie with the slowest QB passing release I've seen in 30 years. He'll never win a championship, he probably won't ever win a game once defenses figure out all you have to do is stop his running and put the free safety where the ball goes.

Denver was 4-12 last year, started this season 1-4 with Orton as QB .
Like him or not, for whatever reason, Tebow has improved the Broncos.
Give him some more experience and some better people around him, who knows...

Rookie? He started a few games last year.
It's not like baseball where the rookie season can last up to three years, ya know.

I don't watch football, but I do follow pop culture so I watched the second half of last week's Broncos game to see what all the media attention was about.
1) Tebow sucked ass, throwing four interceptions and throwing many many incomplete passes.
2) In spite of him sucking ass, every comment by the TV commentators had to work the word "Tebow" in. Didn't matter what they were talking about. Every sentence, phrase, play-by-play call and ad for Jimmy Dean's pure pork sausages was really all about Tebow.
3) I am sorry I didn't see him actually throw any touchdowns because I did want to see the whole post-touchdown prayer thingy.
Conclusion 1: Hype hype hype and nothing but hype.
Conclusion 2: Jesus says "stop bugging me, Tebow, or you'll be tossing nothing but interceptions for the rest of your career."

The Broncos did beat the Jets. And they beat the Bolts and Raiders under Tebow after losing to them both under Orton. The schedule explanation doesn't really hold water. All Tebow says football-wise is, he'll listen to his coaches, work hard, and try to help his team. I find him entertaining, and that's why I watch football. To be entertained. Not to have whatever grand picture of the universe I have, validated.

Those are three teams that tend to have wide variations in performance. And if we look at win pct. vs opp SOV, we see that Oakland and Denver are basically the same team, the Jets are lined up with the Cowboys and Titans, while the Chargers are down with the Seahawks. Which is to say, these aren't exactly great teams. And they're also teams that are infamous at choking.
You're also comparing Tebow to Orton, which I think is funny, simply because I predict that their career paths will look very much the same.

Accused, not convicted. And might I add, a two-time Super Bowl winner. Tebow isn't anywhere NEAR good enough to even think about winning a ring. Not when you're ranked 26th in the league. Ben? Ranked 7th. Even Orton is ranked higher than Tebow. Granted, not by much, but still higher.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/passing/sort/quarterb a ckRating
And then comes the argument "Bu-bu-bu-but Roethlisberger had a crappy QB rating in Super Bowl XL!" Yeah, so? Still won. And that was one game. This is over the course of nearly an entire season.
Ain't no amount of Luck, Jesus, Allah, whatever you want to call it going to win Tebow a Lombardi. A crappy QB is a crappy QB. Sure, there's room for improvement. And a lot of it, too. But at the end of the day, Tebow's chances are no better than, say, Carson Palmer's or Josh Freeman's at this point.
Isn't that funny: The (accused) rapist is better than the Bible Thumper. Imagine that...

. Beating Mark Sanchez, Phillip Rivers and Carson Palmer. Tebow's wins come against teams whose records are a collective 44-61 and he needed 4th quarter miracles against most of them.

I think Tebow's character is strong enough to survive the media hype. This is his first year as a starter, and he is capable of being a pretty good quarterback. He just needs to play consistently through-out the entire game, and not just at the very end like the US Men's Soccer team.
The media though; fark them. I'm tired of hearing "TEBOW TIME." I'm sick of hearing "Miraculous" with a wink and a nudge.

I am not comparing Tim Tebow to Joe Montana, comparing any rookie to arguably the greatest QB in NFL history would be stupid.
I bring up Joe Montana for one reason... He was not the most talented QB to play, not even in his day. Steve Young was a winner, and talent wise was far superior to Joe Montana, yet there would be very few people who would argue Steve Young was a better QB than Joe Montana (I wouldn't). There are many QB's since Montana's retirement who talent wise are/were better QBs than JM, but are not better in total. Joe Montana was a winner and while many players share this quality, very few share the same level as JM. Tim Tebow is not the most talented QB in the league today, not even close, but he is a winner and has a winner's mantallity. Now does he have the same drive, or abillity to will his team to win as JM? Not this season, and maybe not ever, but I would be willing to put some money on him surprising a lot of people down the road.
