All sperm is salty. Like blood, it contains the same concentration of salts as ocean water. But if there is a causal connection, it goes the other way: from the oceans we have come, carrying the oceans in our blood.

There simply aren't enough sea mammals to make the oceans salty, although there are enough humans to make the oceans less salty by pumping fossil water and melting glaciers and ice caps. On the other hand, we are causing more salt to flow into the oceans as well through irrigating large areas of land and producing a lot of industrial, agricultural and residential waste, so it is taking really large volumes of melting ice to dilute the oceans. All the sea mammals combined just don't match the volume of water being moved for the first time in thousands or millions of years since it was deposited on or under the ground.

What's important is that these things feel true. How factual they are is far less important than how factual they feel. Feelings matter more than knowledge or science. No 9/11 connection or WMD's, and yet we all feel great about our decade-long invasion of Iraq. That's all the proof you will ever need.
