FTA:
Harris was unable to receive treatment from team doctors after getting the freezer burn because of the NBA lockout. He was instead forced to let it heal on its own, but the healing process reportedly didn't go as planned, and Harris was kept from competing for a job during training camp because of the setback.
Really he doesn't make enough to afford treatment on his own?

Real smart having a piece of equipment on the property that costs your team a player.
But go ahead, blame the player instead of having a team official monitor use of the device.
Your opponents will thank you.

Have to sign a waiver stating that your socks aren't wet. Doesn't read the waiver. It's the team's fault. I like your logic. You should run for county judge.

Was that line reeealy necessary?

Did you RTFA? This had nothing to do with the team (Cavaliers). He was at a the Nike Training Facility in Beaverton, Oregon.

He actually did receive treatment on his own, it just wasn't from a team sanctioned doctor. Another article about the injury mentioned that the physicians he saw pretty much prescribed some various ointments and creams to help treat the burns but they didn't help as anticipated.

Answered my own question. Oh Google, what don't you know?
"Imagine you are taking a shower... But instead of water you are surrounded by dry, cold air just for 2.5 to 3 minutes - too little to start freezing; enough to motivate the brain to activate all regulatory functions. This phenomena results in energy boost and skin rejuvenation. The immune system is stimulated, and every organ is affected positively - self-healing of the human body occurs."

Yes, Google does indeed provide this magical information.
Because of the lockout Harris could not be treated by team doctors. A Detroit physician prescribed an ointment or cream for the burn, but coach Byron Scott knew Harris wouldn't be able to participate in camp once he saw the injury.

You're kind of missing the point, too. The team had nothing to do with this. He was at the NIKE TRAINING FACILITY which is in no way associated with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Well, they certainly earned money in the period leading up to the lockout, and I'm assuming they had access to COBRA. It's all kind of moot anyways, seeing as he did get treatment on his own.

The whole Lakers team used this chamber after their opening night game.
So there is the waiver not to wear wet socks or briefs. I'm guessing this happened before and someone got freezer burn on their dick.

Ok, then the team should not let their players use the Nike equipment without their supervision.
Cleveland Cavaliers were not protective of their investment, they did not perform due diligence.
Hopefully Manny Harris recovers and later kicks the snot out of the Cavs on the court. Kinda like whenever LeBron comes to town.....
FTA:""We will now be posting the warning on the machine itself," Millennium ICE CEO Eric Rauscher said, according to CNBC.com" Gee thanks for closing that barn door, Boss.

You *do* remember the whole NBA Lockout thing, right? You know, when teams weren't allowed to contact players, and players couldn't use team facilities, or have access to medical or professional staff?

The lock out ended in November, same time as the incident.

I feel Mr. Harris is being judged unfairly. I try to just post and have fun and generally behave when I'm here, but when something is BS, I'll say so. Not a Cav fan, nor knew who this fellow was previously. If the Cavs didn't expressly forbid their players to use Nike's equipment, then they are responsible for not looking after their employees and their investment. Nothing personal, just how I see it.

That's fantastic that the injury happened in the same month that the lockout ended, but
it occurred before the new CBA was signed
which is why Manny Harris could not get treatment from Cleveland Cavs' physicians.
The Cavs couldn't "expressly forbid their players to use Nike's equipment" because they
weren't allowed to contact the players
. I'm not sure why you're trying to spin this like the Cavaliers made some mistake when they did not.
