OK, just signed my 9 year old daughter up for a travelling basketball team. While most parents will probably be fine, there is one father that's a real a-hole...have watched him for the past two years coaching his kid from the bleachers instead of letting her coach do his job.

My question is, how do I react to this guy now that our daughters are on the same team? Do I tell him to sit the f*** down and shut up or just let the refs take care of it? I don't want the entire team to get a bad rep because of one moron.

Another "shining" behavioural example put forth by an arsehole parent with delusions of grandeur for their child. Most likely brought on by a small penis/breasts, or the fact that as a child they were a nerd. Get a life people....It's supposed to be FUN for the kids, not embarassing at how Troglodytic their parents are!!!

How about videotaping the farker during a game, giving him the tape, and saying, "This is what you look like to everyone else. Now stop being an asshat, sit the fark down and shut yer piehole."

Or maybe you and the other parents can corner him and duplicate the old bar of soap in the sock scene from Full Metal Jacket. That always works.

Ooooh...soap in sock treatment...like that one! That's do-able! Videotaping is also an excellent idea. Actually, the coach was adamant about sportsmanship, which is a good thing, so hopefully I'm not the only one concerned about this guy.

Creepy thing is, he's a short little shiat and his wife has spent so much time with her skinny butt in a tanning booth that she looks like an old, wrinkly purse....

Article sucked compared to the Midget Warfare that I envisioned.

I used to Referee Pop Warner games and quit in mid-season due to the behavior of coaches / parents. In the Championship Game I was scheduled to call (and didn't), one of the refs got stabbed in the neck by a player's older brother after a "bad" call. That sealed the deal for me. I'll never do it again (even though I loved it and it paid $22 cash per game)

I think all sectors of society turn out ugly people. Football has no monopoly on that.

Football helps alot of kids find discipline in other wise choatic lives. Not all but some. I think the problem has more to do with greedy parents who want somehow to strike it rich with a gifted child. Thats is all, back to my cave.
