Kevin Garnett is not allowed to be punished for things every other player, including stars on other teams, would be punished for. He's a Celtic, after all.

/same usually goes for Lakers until they do sh*t like Bynum did last year

That's Walker's fault for being a biatch.

Your username is wrong. The C's don't get preferential treatment from the League. Hell, look at the officiating through one quarter in tonight's Heat game.

THAT said, I am shocked there was no discipline for this. The only explanation is that Walker said something he shouldn't have said, because, in my eyes as a Celtics fan, this was a discipline-worthy event otherwise.

I remember when this was called 'getting in someone's head'. Talk shiat to throw them off their game. Talk enough shiat and get them to take a swing and get ejected/suspended is even better. Hockey is the only sport where talking shiat will get you punched with no recourse. I'm perfectly fine with that. Stuff like this is allowed 'at work' for these guys and we wonder why they act like divas.

I also guess, by my own logic with the hockey thing, if you let them duke it out (1 on 1), you'll have less of it going on an more self policing (sp), which is a good thing.

My tinfoil guess is because of the shortened-yet-chaotic season, Stern will do whatever is in his power to not penalize "stars". The Garnetts in the league, because of their age, will probably get protected with this idiotic schedule and not dress for some games as it is, so a suspension on top of it only further weakens the talent pool for some of these regular season games.

Kevin Garnett has to be a Top 25 All-Time Asshole. He has to.

Miserable half for the C's

The draft for my fantasy league starts in a half hour. This is my first time playing fantasy sports. Any advice?

PTI was talking about this...yesterday I think. And Wilbon said that KG usually goes after guys much smaller than him, cause it seems he's afraid of going after bigger guys. He then said he can't wait for someone to pop KG in the mouth.

The Anthony Peeler incident is the first thing to travel through my mind, but apparently, the true dickbaggery isn't limited to that. Someone will probably tag Garnett before he retires, and then we will push to have a monument erected in that person's honor.

Norris starting in place of Chalmers in 3... 2....

Players get suspended for ingame flagrant fouls(except when Shaq is the target). This shiat was post-game LeGarrette Blount shenanigans. Deserves at least 1 game

You mean like calling someone a cancer patient? Oh wait, that was Garnett talking about Charlie Villanueva.

And the next time Garnett confronts someone his own size will be the first.

Somebody with a short fuse, a tendency to not think about what he's about to do, but with the physical qualifications to issue a legitimate smack-down should the need arise? I nominate DeMarcus Cousins.

I nominate Richard Seymour in a pickup game. That way he'll have two statues.

Well, it's not even really the Celtics specifically. It's Garnett specifically - I remember him going off the bench in a playoff game and getting far closer to a fight than either Suns player that got suspended when Stern said "it wasn't within his power" to determine the suspension...and naturally not getting suspended.

Alienhead is an asshole. Likes chubby white wimmins too. Living in Orlando you are exposed to a lot of NBA players for some reason ( modest nightlife, accessible to everyone unlike say Vegas or Miami ) and I will say former garnett teammate Scalabrine is the coolest I've met.
