So they should no longer be shocked that a relative/trusted friend murdered their child, because in the space of time between the child going missing and being found in the worst of circumstances, they should have accepted their loss and their relative/trusted friend's ultimate betrayal of trust based on a sober analysis of probabilities, completely absent the familial/social bonds that led them to trust that caretaker in the first place?

Do you also expect parents of missing children to ever tell the press: "well, they've been gone for more than 48 hours, so they're probably stuffed in a suitcase in a shallow grave by now. So we're going to hold a memorial and start the healing process" ?

why sex offeders not killed? does any one think, if they had been in jail for 5 years they have done their time? is there any place they are welcome or even legal to live except for rual areas? they are always going to be aroud children at some point. would you like an offender living next door to you?

i've got a 6 year old, and when it comes to lying, they only think about lying to keep themselves out of trouble. My instincts tell me that the mother had something to do with this...

The scenario with the sitter leaving to get a "cigar" then coming home and smoking it and passing out, would be from smoking a blunt. having to deal with a house full of screaming rugrats is what turned our babysitter to smoking pot (and what got her fired). I'm not saying it's OK but i understand why he would do that.

You don't exactly get motivated to drive a child to the NE corner of the county, then murder them when you are pass-out stoned...

But a mother who is ultimately tired of dealing with her kid's mental problems might look for such an opportunity to eliminate the "problem" and find a drug using scape goat to pass the blame onto...
