To be fair, if you have no interaction with society whatsoever, I got no problem with you speaking whatever you please. But if you send your kids to school, they're going to need to speak English. If you want a copy of your birth certificate, or you want to get your driver's license, you're going to need to speak English. If you want to drive on the roads, you need to speak English to read the road signs.

Got it, so if I'm at the grocery store and hear someone speaking spanish I should attempt to find out where they live in order to decide if I should get upset or not.

Uh...road signs have very few actual words on them, and the few that do (like stop or yield signs) are nearly universal in shape.
