I saw a girl with one of the NHL made-for-girls sweaters in downtown Portland yesterday. It was a Canucks "Sedin" one, that made me laugh a little.

Christ, I've got the all-world Concussion Team in my yahoo keeper league at this point. Crosby, Giroux, Michalek, Skinner, Mueller, Weber, Pronger, Marc Staal and Miller (9 players of my originally-drafted 12 players and 3 keepers). How long is Weber supposed to be out for?

This is ridiculous.

I know most people on here dont like me, I just thought it was a nice gesture that she did it.

I usually sit in the first row corner of the upper level so I can watch the plays develop. I haven't sat on the glass of a game since the old Garden when I was a kid, so it should be interesting.

The current reports say "indefinitely, with no timetable for return" on Weber. Dunno about Liles.

Also, Simon Gagne apparently just joined the concussion parade as well. Jesus-farking Christ what is wrong with the NHL this year.

Oh, and apparently the Cap's Mathieu Perrault had to be taken to the hospital last night after he speared himself in the guts trying to check a Buffalo player. Apparently got his stick stuck in the boards.

The NHL is going to the way of the NFL (and probably every other major sport). You never heard of players missing games for concussion symptoms 10-15 years ago, hell even 5 years ago. Now it's a weekly occurrence that I believe will become even more common. It's probably in the best interest of the players and the league but it sucks to lose players for that long.

On the plus side if you picked a fantasy team composed only of players that have missed time this year due to concussions or concussion-like symptoms you'd have an awesome team.

The Thank U Kessel should be Thank U Burke. Sure Kessel wanted the trade, but Burke's the one who gave it up like a slut at a kegger to get Kessel.
