2011-12-27 01:25:06 PM
Damn, it's suddenly very dusty in here.

2011-12-27 01:25:38 PM
Yeah, until Drew spills beer inside his dad's chest.

2011-12-27 01:26:51 PM
Zombaseball.

Drews mom sounds like a funny lady.

2011-12-27 01:31:04 PM

Glad your pops is ok, Drew. But.....the real question I am thinking most farkers are wanting answered is....... are your sisters hot?

j/k

not really

2011-12-27 01:32:28 PM
Story was cool, except for this part:

"It's about a 300-mile drive from my home here in Kentucky, and I made the trip in about four hours."

The part where Drew announces that he was traveling at a speed of at least 75 mph the entire time, and probably faster.

Slow down, speed demon.

2011-12-27 01:32:31 PM
Is that the same defibrillator you take with you on your drinking nights Drew?

2011-12-27 01:32:52 PM
CSB!

Kentucky? That explains everything!

/is Drew's dad a zombie?
//handbasket arrives

Good write-up. I had no clue any of that had happened, so that story painted a great picture. I bet that's a beer league, even if it is for the older guys.

2011-12-27 01:34:53 PM
Glad to hear he's doing well.

2011-12-27 01:35:06 PM
Cool Story, Drew.

Now, how high up is he on the Top 50 MLB prospects? Can he bat cleanup?

/and who ever suspected that Drew was River Song?

2011-12-27 01:35:50 PM
What an awesome confluence of events with such a happy ending! We need more defibrillators more places and more people with the know-how to use them. Yay for the Curtis's!

I died four times in the space of 24 hours, and got better. It's a weird club to be in, but it's always nice to have a new member. Here's to keeping him in it awhile.

/Good on him.

2011-12-27 01:38:48 PM
Similar situation happened to my uncle a few years ago. He died playing tennis and was lucky enough to be playing with a retired doctor, another one was on the next court and their community had portable defibrillators everywhere.

Glad both are doing well!

Is Drew's dad the pacemaker for the fark servers? Their uptime seems pretty close.

Your mom sounds fun, Drew. Also, try not to admit to committing crimes to a publically available newspaper, just sayin'.

Lighten up, Francis. We live in a nation with big roads called Interstate Highways. Going UNDER 80 on most of them makes you a greater hazard to others than going with the flow.

/Would have been more impressed if Drew had done it in three.
//Happy to hear about the wonderful outcome. Those defibrilators really do save lives.

Gentlemen, we can make him better than he was. Stronger. Faster.

Glad he pulled through! And it is awesome that the defib was there and people knew how to use it.
See, miracles can happen.
About that 75MPH. How many actual sprints to 100+ did you make? Cuz I got sustained speeds over 100 in North Dakota, December, for a trip total of nearly 600 miles. Mazda 3. :-P

I died once, back when I thought I had lost my darling Westley forever. But then he and his two friends saved me. They brought four horses, three for them, and one more, if they ever find the lady.

Hi lady!

Since this happened in the Bible Belt, why didn't' they just form a prayer circle instead of using that sciency-thing-a-ma-bob to "save" him?

/sorry, too tempting to pass up
//glad to see he's ok and healthy enough to kick my ass
///climbs back under bridge
