What WWE "Creative" might say:

What's that? Ratings are staying level with CM Punk as champion?!?

It must be his fault! It can't be that we brought him back too early, ruined the buzz that had began around him, took the belt off of him, then put it on someone that the fans give less than two shiats about, then made him look bad by pairing him with a 52 year old with a quad that blows when he thinks hard and the heat sucker who just happens to run the booking committee now and has an ego almost as big as Vince's!

And why aren't people staying tuned in for Johnny Ace, and yet another segment where Michael Cole insults our most beloved announcer, Jim Ross, or where Michael Cole and Jim Ross have a rap-off? WE'RE WRITING GOLD! IT'S THIS TYPE OF STUFF THAT MADE US GREAT SOAP OPERA WRITERS (until ratings fell so low on our watch that all the soaps were cance;ed and we were able to sucker Vince McMahon into hiring us...)

/fire the writers, get Dusty, PS Hayes, Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko, and maybe Triple Gagne to be the booking committee, and let the wrestlers go back to crafting their own promos. Then maybe, just maybe, things will get better.

There is no possible way that Punk doesn't job in his hometown.

we were debating this last night; a friend claimed that he would retire 20-0, where I thought Vince likes to shake things up and might have him lose in an epic match. It's been forever since I actually paid attention to rasslin though.

Also, taking a wild stab at this: The It Begins promos will culminate with the return/debut/repackaging of Ryback/Skip Sheffield. Midway through whatever segment he's involved in, out of the blue Jericho will return.

AWWWWWW Shucky Ducky...Quack Quack!

That's right folks...with "declining" ratings during CM Punk's segments...Look for 3Hs or Cena to get the belt back. Yeah, and as punishment, Vince will have Punk job tonight, folks.

We are DEFINITELY gonna open with a HHH or Cena segment.

*sigh* here comes the status quo.

Oh, and to get us started:

Punk in Chicago...so glorious, too bad it's up against Saints/Falcons, the division crown in the balance, Breesus trying to break Marino's record against the hated rivals. I'll try to keep my eye on it.

Now that my Seahawks have fumbled their way out of a playoff spot, I can only root for the Falcons tonight so that 5 of the 6 NFC seeds are locked up.

As for Punk, no way he jobs in Chicago. I'm pretty sure that would cause a Philly-level riot.

What?

An important, interesting football game on at the same time as RAW, that just might take viewers away from WWE?

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT I, AND WEE CREATIVE IS HEARING ABOUT SUCH A THING! WHY HASN'T ANYONE EVER MENTIONED THIS BEFORE?!?!?

2011-12-26 08:14:26 PM
By the way, did anything get noted about Cena's personal issues? Hadn't heard a final word. Also, the word is that Punk has been the one pushing forward with Ryder's push.

We went with those Internet nerds last week and look at the ratings! That "football" or whatever you call it has nothing to do with it!

Punk losing the belt to a returning Rey to a botched 619 in Chicago may result in an epic Vince Trollface

Okay, Rumble season is soon upon us. Is anyone other than Orton, Cena, Ziggles or Cody going to have a shot at winning it?

/Would love to see Ricardo Rodriguez win it and get a main event at Wrestlemania with ADR not even on the card, just for shiats and giggles.

Been out of contact with internet wrestling unreality, what's the Cena roofer thing?

2011-12-26 08:16:53 PM
Is tonight going to be a stanard night or will it be like a happy holidays night? I haven't see any updates in particular about the show itself (matches/expectations). I'm sure HHH will suck up the heat but will any matches be built towards. Mind you, since Epico/Primo won last week, they must be due to lose the tag titles match tonight only to win the non-title match next week and get a shot at the PPV.

Nothing more on Cena's personal issue...last I read a few weeks ago, it was something about his wife and potential divorce as being the rumor...but nothing since then. I bet that, on top of the fact that Cena sucks shirts are selling #2 behind CM Punk gear, I bet he's in a great mood.

Also, heard ADR has a torn groin, so I guess Miz will elevate to #1 heel until Jericho comes back to wrestle Punk. And the Ryback stuff being the promos, I think that's going to fall flat. A Terminator from the future character? yeah, that's pretty lame...even for kids to get interested in.

Armbar, yo

It did kind of surprise me given that they are pushing Cena on screen as the one who wants him to get a shot. You'd think they'd follow Punk to make him more over. They had me though, given Cena's reputation as a good guy (opposite-Gagne) backstage I thought he was the driving force behind the help.

Kane, so Kane can get the belt and drop it to Cena, so Cena can face The Rock for the belt at Wrestlemania in a meaningless match we all know Cena's going to win anyway.

At least they've been laying track for a Punk-Miz feud in the past few weeks, with Punk calling out Miz for his fake tough guy poses and increasingly generic promos.
