My wife and I also saw a shooting star that was exactly like that over Virginia on Christmas Eve.

Slowest shooting star either of us had ever seen, and it went all the way across the sky, was orange, had a trail of tiny sparks, and eventually faded.

I wonder if this is a related incident.
