Every time I see a documentary, or article about Africa or South America, I have noted that their native religion has been replaced with Christianity. I wonder how threatened US religious types would feel if another religion, say Islam, was to make inroads into the US? Would there be a fearsome uprising and bombings as a result of Islamaphobia? Appparently the world is fair game for Christianity mercenaries..err.. missionaries.., but that fair game does not apply to other religions coming here.

While it doesn't snow in Nigeria, they'll certainly be celebrating a Christmas that's a whiter shade of pale.

Also a lot of Muslims do not recognize converts, kind of like how some jews don't acknowledge their converts or marriage partners if not born a jew.

We would do well to remember that one of Washington's only significant victories in the American Revolution was when the army of insurgents that he commanded massacred hung-over Hessian troops on Christmas morning. Taking advantage of holiday relaxation to strike is a time-honored tradition of warfare.

That said, this is a truly awful thing for the people affected. Nigeria already sucked enough with the oil-powered corruption, it doesn't need any more downsides.
