My dog. Little man (well not so little anymore, 110 lbs) makes me get up in the morning when i'd rather stay in bed and die.

I'm really thankful I found a job.

And that I didn't break my tooth on a plastic peanut my 3 year-old niece gave me last night.

I was accepted to a PhD program in the 11th hour earlier this year. Today I'm working on research I love and living in Amsterdam.

That said, I am awfully thankful that my family got me a ticket to visit them in Florida for Christmas. This time of year it's light only 9am-4pm in Holland, and I missed sunshine!

I'm very thankful for my father for letting me live in his place while I'm disabled. I know it's been a huge inconvenience for him.

But I'm the most thankful for my brother who is giving me a kidney next month, which is just about the most amazing thing anyone's ever done for me.

I'm thankful for my 4 year old daughter. And for my high priced attorney. And for my ex-wife not bothering to show up for court. Tatsuma: that I have 8 days to be grateful for, not just 1

Don't forget a harmonica.

I'm also thankful for the enter key, even though I don't use it properly apparently.

We did the 'thankful" thread on Thanksgiving. So I guess Christmas sucks.

As the mother of a child who has had health problems, I can assure you that your father does not consider your living with him a "huge inconvenience". In fact, if he were to post here, your name would probably be top on the list of what he's thankful for.

This is the first year I didn't even receive so much as a Christmas card from anyone, not even from my own mother. Oh well, they warned me something about burning bridges back when they still talked to me

Of all of the Christmas cards I've got this year, only ONE has been from a relative. I've got a few from farkers, and my overseas pen pals in Australia, Wales and Worst Korea. I've sent about 40 or so, only 2 or 3 being to people I actually know.

Also, I'm grateful for the usual...friends, family, pets, yada yada yada.

We should start a club as I lived through that same experience this am.

I don't think there is any feasible way out either.

Quite thankful that my sister seems to have come to understand that I'm not going to church with her no matter what, and didn't even ask if I was planning on going today.

If she'd asked, I would've at least had turkey-watching as my excuse. :)

Thankful that I finally got my first full-time job out of college, 1.5 years after graduation. And that's about it.

Next year will be the year of losing sleep over grad school plans.

I think your dad's cool with you staying with him. I'd give anything to have my son living with me still, but he passed away last year. Your brother sounds like the best brother to have.

Not to bum everyone's Christmas out, I am thankful for the friends and family who have helped me over the last 18 months dealing with my loss. It has been very much appreciated.

I've been in the mental health system since 1995. It progressively got to the point to where I was a shut-in for 5 years. After two years of intense group counseling I was able to break out of my shell and I joined the Zoo Crew. A group of volunteers at the Buffalo Zoo that help out with special events. I enjoyed it so much I asked, and was accepted, into the Docent program. I start training on January 7th. Eventually I want to become a small animal handler and get a paying job at the zoo. But one step at a time.

For all that I am thankful for three of the best counselors I have ever had. Thank you John, Sylvia and Walter. You helped me become someone.

Merry Christmas!

I'm thankful for a (mostly) healthy body, gainful employment, and the fact that I get to do what I love to earn extra income.

I'm also thankful for FARK. I know I don't post much, and I've long since let my TotalFark subscription lapse... but this place is the first site I check when I wake up, and before I go to bed. It is a home for me, it has been since Farker OtakuRX (Rest in peace :( ) introduced me to it in high school about a decade ago. I'm not a very social person IRL, so FARK's a good place for me to try and integrate with people. I love all of you guys, even the ones I hate.

Merry Christmas Farkers, thanks for another great year.

All I really need are a warm place to sleep at night, at least two hot meals a day, and a job to pay for them. I've got all three right now, and they're helping put my husband through college so he can get an awesome job. It's not much, but once I got rid of my "wants" and just focused on what I need, I'm a lot happier and I'm glad that I'm doing well. Though I do admit that I'm thankful for a beer now and then. ;P

No kidding. Go down. Stay down until she pushes you away. As soon as her breathing slows back to normal, go back. Repeat until she's unconscious.

Do NOT get you dick out until tomorrow.
