Pretty sure the celtics are getting beat in this one. I don't care how tough Kevin Garnett wants me to think he is.

YonderScott: who gives a flying fark about the nba?

That's what I think during sportscenter when they run nba crap in between football highlights, they could show more highlights if they get rid of that crap. But they have so much invested in the league they can't be objective.

I'll be sitting at home all day with nothing to do, and I still won't watch any of these games.

If you don't care about the NBA, why are you in this thread?

I choose to remember one of the most entertaining seasons in recent memory last year.

Oh and go Sixers!

merkey88: I'll be sitting at home all day with nothing to do, and I still won't watch any of these games.

I can do better, I have the choice between watching the nba or dealing with little nieces and nephews along with screaming neighborhood kids at my sisters, I still ain't watching any nba games.

I will be searching for a bar that is open though, is there any foosball on? Div III game? High school all star game? Anything is better than the nba, well the wnba would be worse but they are done for the year.

Mainly because it interferes with football

Coming into a thread just to express how much you don't care about the subject matter is seriously a douchey thing to do. It fascinates me how many people do it. Sorta speaks a lot about the person and their life, especially today.

I lost interest after the Bird, Johnson era. The only basketball I watch now is the NCAA tournament.

Meh... thread trolls are a common thing around here. Just look at every "Caturday" thread - some tool takes the time to click into a consistently large (mid-triple digits) thread to express their displeasure for cats and cat owners. You can usually find them hanging out in the Politics threads.

YonderScott: who gives a flying fark about the nba?

I do. Although I feel I am the only the one left. I am back at the folks house for Christmas and they only have one TV, got yelled at for putting on the NBA game. ("ON CHRISTMAS!"). Just bought my Hawks/Heat tickets for the 5th, super excited. Wish the league would have succeeded a little better in passing a hard cap so some of the smaller teams can compete, but then again some are just so badly run that it wouldn't matter. Perhaps the Hawks can surprise a few people this year like they did last year, but I doubt it. Go Clippers I guess.

Expectations are low. Potential is high. Talent is there. Coaching is suspect.

/Actually, I don't really care

It could be seen as payback for the tools who come into the hockey threads and ask who cares about hockey. People generally suck. Much like the former Vancouver Grizzlies.

I bet this thread stays under 500 comments. Does that mean wrestling is less rigged than basketball?

For Christmas, I want a Farker to photoshop Joey Crawford leering into the Mavs (or any) trophy ceremony, akin to the Obama/GW Mission Accomplished jpeg.

The guy is one glue-sniff away from giving the announcers a technical for poorly pressed pants.
