Once again, Jason Garrett (Jerry Jones) makes a huge mistake by starting Tony Romo in a game with no meaning. Romo gets hurt and will probably be questionable for game that really counts next week. I know that you will say that the Giants/Jets games wasn't over but there was a good chance it was out of reach when Romo was hurt. If the Jets would have pulled a miraculous come-back (when has THAT happened recently), they could have put Romo in the game with plenty of time to get his rhythm and save the game.

Me being a Cowboy hater, I love it!!!! This is almost as good as the muffed snap several years ago on the winning field goal against the Giants.

Actually, it does mean Jack. It means the Eagles swept the cowpukes this season. (edit: DOMINATED the cowboys this season) Knocking out Romo will give the g-men the advantage of winning the NFC and knocking dallas out of playoff contention. It'll also mean the cowboys have won a grand total of one playoff game since 1996.

Any time the self-anointed "America's Team (tm)" gets beat, especially in their own shiatty stadium, And on national tv, is a joy and pleasure. Jerry "Jerkoff" Jones uses his horribly coached (by him) "team" as a compensation for his tiny hick penis.

I can't wait to call someone this. Thanks!

If they beat the Skins next week I'll be happy to end on a high note. I'm fine dwelling in mediocrity for a season as long as the team gells together and is ready to make a run.

Which, if they do win next week, does beg the question - will the expectations be bigger next year than they were this year?

Still seems completely bizarre that a week 16 game was meaningless for a team (Cowboys) because they can only clinch one playoff spot and the only way to clinch that playoff spot is to win in week 17.

So... I guess this should have just been a bye week for the Cowboys.

The fark it don't subby. Any Eagles fan know exactly what it means.

It's really too bad the Eagles didn't win just one more game. They'd be in control of their destiny, and they're playing hot right now. They're a better team than their record shows, but some inconsistencies, bad games, and injuries ruined what could have been a good season. If they make the right moves in the off season they could be a threat next year.

Not that even if they did make the playoffs this year they would have a chance. The Saints and Packers are just too damn good, and I can't see anyone getting past them.

I realize and understand why Eagle fans were rooting against my beloved Giants today.

That said, I wholeheartedly welcome all Eagle fans - nay, all fans of the team that is playing the Dallas Cowboys - to join me, a lifelong Giant fan, in rooting against Dallas next weekend.

Join us. The enemy of our enemies makes you our friend. We are the lesser of two evils. And hopefully we will do you proud next week.

The blind optimism of the eagles fans is hilarious.
No team in the NFC East is in a position to make a deep playoff run anytime soon.

the sad thing...eagles had the best division record and is actually the better team of the 3..giants and cowboys just arent good.

Kudos to Reid for screwing this season up, time for him to get going, been 2 years too long

It was frustrating how bad Mark Sanchez is. I wanted to be mad at him for that lousy performance, but he wasn't responsible for the Eagles' blowing the 20-point lead against San Fran or the losses to Arizona and Seattle.

See, I disagree. The game was as close as 20-14 in the 4th(With a whopping 7 to go) and, contrary to what you may think, the Jets actually are not bad at coming back(Sanchez has 4 fourth quarter comebacks this year, 4 Game Winning Drives as well which are probably the comebacks). Note that the play he got injured and hurt was one after the Jets/Giants was over: They were probably pulling him the next few plays. And if you jump out to a quick leader, you can bring in the backup. Winning the game was important in case the Giants blew it and they needed the Eagles win, so playing Romo in case they came back is a valid thought, even if he can get in a rhythem if you don't start with him.

You want an example of when a start should not be playing: Adrian Peterson(Not chasing a record/rushing title, coming off of injury, in a game that truly had no meaning).

As a Chargers fan who grew up in Buffalo, good luck with that.

/between the Chargers, the Sabres, and the Bills every team I've rooted for has about a 133 year or so no Super Bowls/no Stanley Cup thing going
//i've liked the Lions since since I saw the Stafford rallying the team with a separated shoulder video. sorry.

Frustrating to see the Eagles wait so late to finally put it together. They are usually a slow starting team to begin with and they compounded it with the lockout and major personnel, coaching, and scheme changes on defense.

Vick and the receivers piled on by being turnover machines. Shady was the only one without butterfingers. No reason not to expect a winning record next year, but boy is Andy's act getting old.

I wouldn't say that until they get some linebackers/D-Line/an actual D-Coordinator and a QB behind Vick.

The Eagles D-Line is strong and Juan is starting to get better, erase some of the turnovers and this team is already a winning team.

In Seattle, so all of this doesn't mean much to me. But I do enjoy the NFL as a whole, and I've noticed one thing.

If the Eagles had won one more game, they'd be in a position for a Wild Card...and the last 3 weeks or so, they've really seemed to get their shiat straight. They would've been a scary team in the playoffs.

Now just pay little baby DeSean so he'll stop pouting on the sidelines.

And I'm glad my hawks lost tonight. I get tired of 24/7 talk of playoffs with T-Joke, on the road, against an angry Saints team we'd lose by 60 to. Hello new rookie QB in the draft.

I would love for the dolphins to make a move to pair him with Marshall. They would be the best huge play/huge farkup reciever tandem ever assembled.

Let me repeat this again, the Philadelphia Eagles will never, ever, win a Super Bowl. Sure the Cowboys are very tough team to root for these days (for too many damn years now) but at least we aren't the Eagles. For that I am thankful. At least we have a shot at the playoffs this year despite having a supposedly weaker team. Oh and I almost forgot, who exactly did we beat in that one playoff game we had in the last decade plus? Suck it Philly!

/miss talking smack in these threads
//at least the NBA is back just in time for the inevitable Cowboys disappointment.

I can give Eagles fan's this, if they had somehow run the gauntlet and gotten in they were poised to be alot like last years Packers. No one in their right mind would have wanted to play them. They were supposed to run away with the East but they didn't. The Cowboys were supposed to be better then this too. The Giant's were expected by everyone but their fans to finish no higher then 3rd. After all they lost Steve Smith and Kevin Boss, and their offensive line was in flux and that was before the rash of injuries. Finally the Redskin's had another lost season.

//Just happy to still have a shot in week 17

I would be very surprised if he was in a Philly uniform next year. Between Maclin, Avant, Cooper, Hall, and Celek, I think the front office is willing to let him walk. I keep hearing Reid still has a man-crush on Clay Harbor, so there's that too.

Had mixed memories with Jackson, he will be missed but not yearned for. Strictly business.

Bigger than everyone basically giving them the super bowl trophy in the preseason?

And this is what you can expect from Vick, for all his moments people love there are 10 more where fans say "wtf was he thinking?"

eh, when he was healthy, Vick didn't have a horrible year. Certainly not a great one, but there are worse QBs out there this year.

In other news, the Bengals just have to beat the Ravens to get into the playoffs for the third time in my life! It's going to be one of the biggest games of the week, with the Bengals fighting to get in, and the Ravens fighting for the division.

I don't have a whole lot of faith in the Bengals beating a good team, but I've seen crazier!
