#1 reason why top ten list sucks is because they always break their own rules. The entire concept of a Top 10 list is laid out with a specific topic and guide lines to follow and the author will go along and drop in various items that fit the list and then out of no where will completely break the rules. Like a top 10 hottest women ever would go #3 Jennifer Anniston, #2 Christina Hendricks #1 Tom Hanks in Bosom Buddies

Another fault with these kinds of lists is they often just end up being 10 random things thrown together in an order that lacks any thought or measureable reason for the heirarchy.
