Definitely. I almost wish the caption wasn't there so I could have discovered the second bird on my own.

Loved the Van Gogh too. Nice find, Subby.

Same here. Very impressive one. The one of Freud also caught my attention. His face was well-hidden. Sub-conscious? :)

Sure, subby. What isn't?

(Except shaving- seriously- never shave when you're tripping. Trust me on this.)

Ah yes, the good ol' "start with a razor, freak out, move on to electric trimmers, and end up with tweezers" move.

But yeah, the birds picture was awesome.

Try the brown acid. It's good.

shaving isn't the best idea, but i've certainly spent a few hours (minutes?) in front of a running sink, dousing myself with water because water is the most amazing substance when TRIPPING BALLS.

I wonder if the nude woman in the Freud painting is supposed to be the mother of the kid in the foreground.

Either way, there HAD to be a nude in it somewhere.

\and the Ivan The Terrible one was pretty farking sweet, too

Tripping.
Balls.

Most people can find all the horses but it takes a special eye to see the ducks and the ferris wheel.

That's some awful painting going on right there. I mean, the idea is neatish, albeit a bit old, but the execution is just - I don't know - awful. Just full strokes. Just straight colours. Always the same character to the stroke (which precludes detailing and depth). No layering. Bah. Horrible, horrible style.

Sometimes Freud's nose is just Freud's nose. And sometimes it's a chick stripping by a lake.

/and sometimes it's full of cocaine
//"it" being Freud's nose or the stripper; it could be either, most likely both

His wasn't too bad once I recognized the nude woman as forming the nose. The one about Ivar was difficult to see, even after I recognized the kneeling man as being the mustache and beard. I think the red robe kind of breaks the illusion since it isn't consistent with the color of the forehead and side of the head.

I vaguely recognized the leaf-bird immediately - or at least thought "yep, that's probably a bird" - even before reading the caption, but mostly only because they were facing the same direction. The form of the breast, beak, and crest are almost a give-away.

I don't know why I said all that.

If you focus on individual elements in the painting it will be harder to see the face. Just let your eyes go slightly out of focus and your brain should see the faces rather quickly without any effort. It's a natural mental pattern-recognition reflex.

Wow. Just wow. I can usually keep my laughter quiet as the tears pour out of my eyes, but not this time. That was fantastic!

Although I agree. I can't really say it's "Ivan the Terrible" rather than just "some guy with a beard and mustache."
