I'm a fan. The world's most inappropriate snob in the role of a royal, and not ashamed a bit about it. Says the funniest stuff and just doesn't care if it's not PC.

get better, Duke!

Prince Philip to British students studying in China: "If you stay here much longer you will all be slitty-eyed."

God bless the man.

How funny would it be if prince Philip was operated by an Indian surgeon?

Good luck to him. There's always room in the world for a curmudgeon.

He's 90 years old, having chest pains & had a blocked artery. Even if he wasn't the Queen's husband, I'd consider, as would most doctors, that his condition required immediate treatment.

I would have said this was an emergency, actually. I had similar surgery a couple of years ago, under similar circumstances (well, apart from being married to the Queen, and such)

I have a couple of stents which are doing a fine job. Thanks to you and your mates in the medical device industry.

Merry Christmas

Philip was a pretty handsome dude himself, back in the day.
He even served in the British navy at age 18, and during WWII - though his own family fought for the Germans. It's not been all roses for him, but both he and the Queen really are amazing people with the choices they've made.

If he wasn't the Queen's husband the NHS would have let this 90 year old die.
