WTF is the point of yet another documentary about a film that has been out 35+ years? About a film that already has had more documentaries than the film than the production co (lucas ) has actual films.

WTF new is there to say? This is just clips of other documentaries.

The cool thing about this is that it's a fan-made documentary.

Same guy did one for Empire and Jedi as well.

Tax Boy: Hey! Remember when George Lucas was thin, a genius, and could do no wrong?

He was always doing wrong. Look at his original designs and intents for the characters and how many versions of each script there were. The difference is back then people were willing to tell him that his ideas/scripts were moronic and stepped in to make it better. Now people are too afraid to intervene.

just watched the whole thing. was very interesting, almost like a pop-up video but less annoying

This is great, but is "documentary" the word for it? it's, like, the actual complete movie with a lot of bells and whistles.

I've seen quite a few "behind the scene" Star War features...is this worth it?

Slightly off-topic, but redlettermedia's got an Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull review out now, too. Just released yesterday, and it's just as accurate as the prequel reviews are.

I tried to post this yesterday, but got redlit. It's a pretty good review, plus it's a lot lighter on the "serial killer with women in the basement" than the star wars ones.

There's enough in there that there's probably something you haven't seen/didn't know. Give it ten minutes.

I'm about a half hour into the video, and I rather like it. I've seen bits and pieces of most of it, but I'm enjoying seeing it all put together in one presentation. Pretty cool, actually ;)

Does anyone still have the link to the Star Wars edit that had all the deleted scenes spliced back in?

It's good, but it's not as funny or insightful as the Star Wars ones because the movie it's reviewing isn't as bad.

Don't get me wrong; Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is still a bad movie, but it doesn't have as many systemic failures as the prequels did. There's only so many ways you can say "they made it too family-friendly, Ford's too old to play the part, and Spielberg didn't really want to make it".

The overarching lesson is: Keep George Lucas as far away from the movie-making process as possible. If he shows up to your set, distract him with cake.
