Because bikinis are already so bad for the environment.

I like the backpack. Now they just need to make it in a messenger's bag and it would be great for when I have to take my laptop with me while out of the office.

Solar powered cloths dryer
solar powered flashlight.

Mitticool seems like the sort of device that could change the world.

gonjie: solar powered flashlight.

I really like my solar powered flashlight. It's surprisingly reliable. The BoGo SN-2 (new window) is the awesomeness. When you buy one, they donate one to a part of the world that doesn't have access to electricity. They're crazy robust, easy to work-on/repair, and have yet to fail me.

/typing this from a solar powered computer.

That Solar powered bikini isn't going to reduce emissions...

MrSteve007: I really like my solar powered flashlight.

One of the biggest technological breakthroughs in solar energy was ... the white LED.

Water bottle light bulbs. Cheap daytime lighting for windowless rooms.

A friggin' solar fridge. Too cool.

Perfect, I have a bikini powered wang.

Does the bikini fall off when the sun goes down?

My MIL got me a solar powered flashlight just before Y2K. Solar panel on the top charges an internal battery or you can use a crank to turn a dynamo.

LDM90: Does the bikini fall off when the sun goes down?

That all depends on how much money and/or liquor you have.

I'm using a Solar powered keyboard (new window), so I'm getting a kick out of these replies.

Argentinean actress and Greenpeace activist Barbara Torres using an iron powered by a solar battery.

That's one heck of a battery behind her. I know it's actually a lot smaller, but makes me think of the Beverly Hillbillies episode where Jethro invents a pollution control filter for a car. Small, light, etc., but OMG the FILTER!

Tendancy to over-dew it: I like the backpack. Now they just need to make it in a messenger's bag and it would be great for when I have to take my laptop with me while out of the office.

These guys (new window) have a crapton of solar powered products. Pricey though.

Here's a pic of your messenger bag.

200$ for that thing.

And who said that Solyndra "loan" would not pay off?

Umm...correction. I posted a pic of the wrong item. The laptop charger actually costs about $500, and here's the correct pic:

Sorry about that.

Why not do something obvious, like a solar-powered fastlane/EZ pass tag?

Those things spend their lives attached to car windows, yet have standard non-rechargeable batteries.

Doctor Jan Itor: Perfect, I have a bikini powered wang.

Now all we need is a wang-powered sun and the perpetual energy machine is complete.

I'd get her photovoltaics ready for some milliwatts any day.

Like TVs, radios and mobile-phone chargers, irons are low-voltage electrical devices meaning their energy needs can be easily and sustainably met by solar power sources.
wtf a resistance heating appliance of 1600 watts, don't think so

If it is on that model, yes it will. What the hell is wrong with her face?
