WTF Indeed: The two things I know for sure after listening that clip. Chris Matthews just makes up insults off the top of his head, and the other guy has never actually seen a crackhead in person.

Matthews' insult really was over the top, though. Look, I hate car bombers as much as anybody else does, but I still think it's inappropriate to compare their appearance to Newt Gingrich. Even car bombers should be treated with some minimal degree of dignity, and that's really over the line.

If I were Matthews, I'd be sure to have someone else start my car for me for the next few weeks--he should be a little worried about retribution here.
