He was a good player, and (from everything I've heard) an absolute nice guy. I'm just terrified he's going to be found in a gutter ten years from now because he's broke

Ugghh... somehow I knew that was going to happen. The IWC in general froth at the mouth for someone unrecognized and under-utilized to get pushed, and once the push happens they become too mainstream for them or something. If Zack stopped/changed his gimmick and stopped doing Z!TLIS then I probably wouldn't like him much, but he hasn't changed and i'm enjoying his feel-good story.

Example of someone I wanted pushed but changed too much after getting the championship: Jack Swagger. Soaring Eagle brought me back though :3

If he was smart enough to pull himself off the scrap heap like this and become one of WWE's most popular performers, I think he'll be able to transition to a more serious character, sure.

Absolutely agree with this. He should have a good solid midcard run, and I'm happy to see it, but the true test will be, when the whole thing has run its course, can he reinvent himself to stay relevant?

And I don't think there is an actual Raw this week. Cena said at Raw after the cameras were dark that this was their last raw of the year and that they were all getting a 2 week vacay to relax. So I unno.

However, checking stub hub, it shows that the Raw is on the 26th from Chi-town.

Yeah, don't let anything build, live and die by hotshotting and quarter hour ratings.

Maybe if they hadn't driven off so many people by destroying the Summer of Punk so Alberto Del Aburrido could be champ for a meaningless Mexico tour, things wouldn't be so bad.

Today's Vince would have killed Stone Cold's push immediately after the Boobies-Wrestlemania 14 RAW didn't beat Nitro.

/also, I hope WWE Network fails, too.

I haven't seen biatching, but I have seen that he is getting a lot of exposure which is a bit of a problem unless they make character changes. There's not much more I can see doing with that gimmick unless he goes heel. The LI/NJ guido as a heel has potential. (Although Ryder makes sure to say he isn't a guido.)
