I have to say, being in the software business and living here in the bay area for the last few years, you sometimes forget that the rest of the country is going through a jobless hell. This place seems immune.

Though I understand the mood was very very different 10 years ago...

...and the Chinese are getting pretty good at making technology. They're already taking over tech manufacturing and the next step is tech creation. Kinda how S. Korea was first just a place to get stuff made cheaply and went on to become a major source for tech innovation. Except China isn't just a little piece of a peninsula.
