Is Clenbuterol not illegal to use in food animals in the UK, because it is here in the US. Its on the list of "use these and you will go to jail" drugs.

MAYORBOB: My mother told me to eat liver because it was good for me. My mother would never lie. She was a saint.

I hate to bust your bubble....

/your mom joke

Now that I have gotten that out of the way, here's basic BIO101 for those of you who aren't quite following the article:

The liver is the body's filtering mechanism. Any foreign substances introduced into the body get filtered by the liver. This includes medication. If a farmer or a vet injects his cow with a steroid (commonly done for a large number of reasons), and shortly thereafter that cow is slaughtered and its liver sold for meat, that liver will still contain that steroid. If an athlete then eats said liver, that athlete will have that steroid in their system and test positive for it.

Now that I have gotten that out of the way, here's basic HDL101 for those of you who aren't quite following the headline:

Pâté (pronounced pah-tay') is ground liver paste usually served on crackers. Think really fancy liverwurst. If you look closely at the headline you will see the word cleverly hidden in the word "participate".

Now that I have gotten that out of the way, I am going to get properly drunk.

Subby just wanted to say thanks for all the kind words. I almost went with a "spotted dick" joke, glad I stuck with plan A. :)

When I first read the headline, though the UK was about the University of Kentucky, but they only drugs they are on is meth and Mary Jane not sure if they would get you banned from the Olympics.
