Stray cats seem to like car engines in cold weather -- a friend of mine found a litter of kittens hiding under the hood of his pickup truck one winter.

Had a cat that tried to do something like this once. Climbed in the engine compartment one Feb morning, right before we headed to church. About a mile later, my Dad saw a little black blur fall out from under the van and dart across the road, but not before getting it's tail run over several times by other cars. Dad somehow found the cat and took it to the vet, who later recommended amputating the tail to save the cat. Two days later, one tailless cat with what appeared to have macaroni sticking out it rear.

Pro Tip: So do snakes. Our neighbor had a 3 foot black rat snake crawl up his engine.

Who the heck names a truck an eclipse? The eclipse name should forever be associated with the crappy little rice car that it was.

How far is Cleveland from Ohio?

Paratrooper: Alexander Tot, who stopped to help Mr Polke, said the cat seemed quite scared but was calm

ohio has paratroopers?
I had a coworker drive 60 miles with a kitten under his hood, it was fine and it found a good home with one of the coworkers

There's a Cleveland, TX down here (and a Columbus which is, oddly, on a route 71,) though I have no idea why the hell one would get here via Medina... or go to Medina for anything for that matter.
