Star of "Giant Spider Invasion," as popularized by MST3K. You know him as the hillbilly father.

Forest Whitaker was fantastic in that film!

Seth'n'Spectrum: /also too bad about James McAvoy's career since that film

He was a major character in Atonement, the lead in The Last Station.
And, of course, he played Professor X in X-Men: First Class. Which was excellent.

I don't think he has much to be disappointed about.

I thought it might have been Don King. Now that would have been afroliciously ironicological.

I'd say that's his strangest role, but nowhere near his best.

Heck, the entire flick was strange and has cult film status written all over it.

/RZA impressed me more FTR.

IMDB lists 141 television and movie credits as an actor for him and 47 credits as an advisor/dialect coach and Contactmusic picks just one the credits and random? Or all they had was a photo of Forest Whitaker? They couldn't be bothered to find a photo of Easton? He was in "Paint Your Wagon" for God's sake!

(I remember reading an article that basically said the reason Southern accents in movies have been so bad the past few decades is movie producers, instead of hiring Easton, hire this one couple - who apparently think there is only one Southern accent - to be dialect coaches.)

Excuse me, but hands down, Forest Whitaker's finest performance was as Rawlins, in Bloodsport. I cry every time he gives that dog a chunk of eel.
