If a football thread show up on the sports tab and no one cares, does it make a sound?

Finally, a green. Though I know most won't really care about tonight's game.

To fans of the Texans: Congrats on the victory tonight.

To fans of the Colts: My sympathies.

I almost feel like wearing the husband's Peyton Manning jersey... I'd really like to see the Texans lose.

Not care? It's the first game of the week, and you know what that means...

Two new candidates able to record a wire-to-wire victory for The Jake!

So is indy going to try to win out so they don't get the number one pick?

You know the Texans are moving up in the world when people want to see them lose.

Yay! I hope whoever is playing for the Texans gets it!

Hope so, lol. I know I'm rooting for the Colts for that reason - fark 'em getting Peyton and then Luck.

Fair enough. As long as the Texans get a victory, there's a part of me that would love to see Delhomme come out and become the first QB to divide by zero for the Jake.

Exactly - not to mention that, should Yates get squashed, it's only a brief second until the post count in this thread explodes from people realizing Jake Delhomme is back on an NFL field, lol.

I'm watching the Maaco Bowl instead.

Go... Wow. I can't really cheer for either team, since they fall in that exclusive category of "Titans' division opponents who aren't the Jags".

Here's to a TIE! Hopefully a scoreless one, but I've seen both defenses, so I'll just pull for a tie.

No, no, that's the wrong attitude. As Jags fans, we want the Colts to win (so as not to get Luck) and the Texans to lose (out of spite and hopefully to keep them out of the playoffs).

The pre-game is already talking about Manning being traded. I honestly thought Indy would trade the first pick to fix all the holes around Manning, but I haven't been watching much ESPN lately so maybe something has changed.

If I was the Colts I'd try to run the clock out from play one. The faster this season ends the better.

The penalty for the appearance of manipulating the outcome of an NFL game is a lost first round draft pick and a $500,000 fine.
By the end of the year, the Colts will have intentionally thrown an entire season. Your move, Mr. Goodell.

Peyton to the Saints. Let him hold Drew's clipboard, let him retire wearing his daddy's jersey, it's just good all around. lol

Hi, Bunny. Nice to see you.

Even if games aren't expected to be highly *entertaining* to a lot of people, I will turn it on. Even if it's just an average game without me having a dog in the fight, I like having those sounds and visuals in the house.

Some of my earliest memories are the sights, sounds, and conversations of football in the house. It is just dear to me. :-)

Okay, old lady in the house... I'll shut up now and just hang out over here.

/enjoy!

Manning to the Jets. Book it. Done.

It's certainly possible. But even if Indy gets Luck, they still have an O-Line that's made of Swiss Cheese. The smart thing to do would be to trade for a lot of picks but I might be behind the current news. I travel WAY too much.

I think manning to either Harbaugh team makes them instantly the best team in the league. That seems to make the most sense.

Two solid teams with mediocre qbs.

Mine too, only i never appreciated it until one night I partook of a controlled substance (which I NEVER do) and watched an Eagles game.

that was when I was 24. This is my tenth anniversary of football!

And I'm drinking Cake Vodka and cream soda tonight, so i'm gonna get real funny or real annoying real soon.

Peyton to the Niners would be very interesting, plus it would make Jim have to go back on everything he's said about Smith all year, lol.

Your comments are well recieved here, forget the haters who think they are edgey by pretending how little they care about something. And it should hopefully be an entertaining game none the less!
