If you're in or near the city and not otherwise occupied this War on Christmas eve (Saturday), thejoyofpi and brap would like to invite you to come down to the Draft Barn in the afternoon for good beers, food, and football. The Jets and Giants are playing and I feel this NYCBowl should be enjoyed in a massive Hungarian beer hall with a great beer list and plenty of TVs to watch the game on.

The Draft Barn is at 530 3rd Ave (between 12th and 13th St.), Brooklyn. Quick walk from the 4 Av - 9th St. stop on the F, G, D, N, and R

The game starts at 1:00 p.m., we'll be there a little earlier and grab a big table or two. The place is huge, as is the beer and food selection (which leans towards the Eastern European end of the spectrum) real good gut-bomb food.

Strangely, I as well have commitments that preclude me from going into NYC and require me to go to Allentown that evening (though the day of the 24th is at my brother's in Morris County).

I do it all time. Sometimes in the summer it can take 6 hours.

I would love to come to one of these gatherings, but it always seem that fate conspires to keep me away. Last time, the Fark party was a few days after I was hit by a semi.
